Description: The George Town Yacht Club (GTYC) is located on the waterfront at The Barcadere Marina, Grand Cayman. Conveniently located next to the airport, with a FREE shuttle running every 15 minutes, it is a great place to spend time waiting for a flight. It is accessible by land or sea, with plenty of parking for your car or boat, and is the perfect place to relax after a day out on the water, unwind after a day in the office, share your fish stories, or simply hang out with good friends. The menu is appealing to all tastes with an emphasis on local seafood, from conch ceviche to our daily fresh catch, and our famous flame grilled dishes served with your choice of sides. Of course, lunchtime favourites such as burgers and wings are offered or, for those with a lighter palate, the salads are outstanding.GTYC is also an ideal place to host parties, functions and events, either poolside or inside. The private clubhouse and scenic balcony are available to individuals, companies, service clubs and other organizations, to host fishing tournaments, birthday, Christmas and New Years Eve parties, wedding receptions, business meetings, seminars, charitable and cultural events or any other casual, or formal, function.

Many years ago, before the Internet, cell-phones and ziplock bags, the area where the George Town Yacht Club is located was a run-down mess, abandoned derelict cars, batteries and urban trash.

What a difference a few decades make! This new restaurant is situated in a spruced-up quiet corner of George Town and is a real 'find'. On a Friday lunchtime the place was rocking, with a satisfying mixture of locals and ex-pats all enjoying the experience, by the look of things.

The service was attentive without being obtrusive, the view fabulous and the food delicious and reasonably priced. The meal was worth the five minute or so wait.... everything was cooked to order. The fries were heavenly, 'piping hot' as they like to say in the UK and done to perfection, "i) crisp of the outside, ii) soft, almost melting, in the middle and iii) dry" (Delia Smith's Complete Cookery Course). The Grouper in a Johnny-cake sandwich was 'yummy', delicately spiced and served with sliced onions & peepers.

The 'icing on the cake'? The view was magnificent.

We'll be back :)

The food is great and reasonably priced. One of my favorite restaurants on the island. A little hard to find but it's worth the drive.

I went to the George Town Yacht Club for a birthday dinner with my sister and my cousins. The food was out of this world, even though I would recommend that they improve the service. The waitress did not check our table in a timely manner. If you like spice, try the curry chicken or shrimp. I had the coconut shrimp for appetizer and the Garlic shrimp for entrée. I like the fact that they served fritters and butter, instead of boring bread rolls. Despite the music being a bit too loud, the lights and setting was fabulous. I received a piece of brownie and a scoop of vanilla ice-cream, on the house for a birthday treat. I would highly recommend George Town Yacht Club for dinner or lunch. If you like outdoors, you can sit outside by the water and enjoy the starry sky.

From the second we stepped in the door we were kindly greeted and we were given the choice to eat outside next to the pool.. we went for that and we were served very nicely and reasonably fast! After we ate and relaxed we went for a quick dip in the pool, which was great! they then had facilities to wash yourself and change etc. 5 star!

Very good food, the owner have done a great job and would highly recommend going here. Very kid friendly. The only down fall is the service a little slow. But the food is worth the wait.
