From the many restaurants that we ate at during our stay here at the Cayman Island, this restaurant was by far one of our favorites. The food was phenomenal and everything was bursting with freshness. To start off we got the Spicy Soco Shrimp and the Drunkin Rum shrimp, both were very good. I also got their Zucchini Soup that has more of a creamy texture to it and it was delicious. For our main dish my husband, son and I all ordered Snapper with a variety of sides. The fish was fresh from that day, packed with flavor and perfectly cooked with just enough moisture. The same freshness carried over into the sides ranging from the plantains to the salad with mango and their signature mango dressing. The salad was very light and refreshing. My daughter and her friend ordered the Local Rum BBQ chicken and they said that it was cooked very well and the BBQ sauce was remarkable. We topped off our meal with Mango Cheesecake. I was a little weary since cheesecake can be a hit or miss but this one was delicious. It was light, fluffy and not too sweet.

Luigi (the owner) was able to give us his undivided attention and accommodate to our many different needs because we have some picky eaters in the family. He made sure to check up on us to see if we were enjoying our food and even shared some of his knowledge about the island. Luigi gave us a whole list of activities and events to do during the day and night, as well as other restaurants and bars that we had to visit while on our visit. Overall great food, right one the waterfront. It was easy to kick back, relax and enjoy the breeze as you overlooked the water.

A friend and I were visiting from Boston and we were told that Cabana was the "place to go" We ended up really enjoying the music and the dancing. The drinks were strong and the service was great. The staff made us feel welcomed and at home. The hospitality was note worthy. I highly recommend this spot. You can't beat sitting outside on a table next to the caribbean sea having a margarita.

We had a beautiful meal outside by the ocean. The Farm to Table experience more than delivered on the promise of great local cuisine, but the delivery and the wonderful couple who own and serve the food made it a very memorable experience! It was the the most enjoyable meal we had the whole week. We brought 4 teens with us and all were in heaven with the variety of fish options and vegetable choices.

This meal, hands down, was my favorite of our ten days on the island. We experienced their farm-to-table dinner experience and it was just that. . . an experience like no other. Luigi and Christina personally greet and interact with the guests as they welcome you to their restaurant and home (Luigi was born and raised in GC). They talk about their relationship with local farmers, sustainability, and the farm-to-table movement in GC. Each week the menu is different, based on what is in season and available at the local farmer's market. We had the good fortune to go when mangos were in season. Each course highlighted this fruit like no other dining experience I've ever had and was paced perfectly throughout the night. I have a shellfish allergy so I was a little nervous about the menu. When I emailed to make our reservation for the dinner, they warmly replied, confirming our spot at their table and assuring me there would be no shellfish served in their dishes. Each guest started with some fresh mango juice, following by an deliciously warm and hearty soup. It was a zucchini and butternut squash soup served in a delightfully elegant Caribbean bowl. Next came the best ceviche I've ever eaten. It was a coconut ceviche and their use of local coconuts, pepper varieties, and mangos was mind blowing. This was served with large crispy-fried sweet potato chips. Shortly after, waiters starting bringing out the side dishes for the main, family style meal. They served a delicious salad blended from all local fresh ingredients, perfectly cooked green beans, a delicately moist callaloo rice, and the most amazing fresh snapper (that they purchased just next door at the fish market earlier that day) with a mouth watering mango escovitch. The final course was a mango panna cotta that was sweet, creamy and perfectly set. Throughout the evening, the owners laughed and talked with the dining party as they told humorous and touching family stories. The waiters were friendly, attentive, and seemed happy to be experiencing the meal through their diners. You must include Cayman Cabana's farm-to-table Thursday night dinner as part of your dining experiences while on GCI!
