The drinks are overpriced, tasteless and the wait staff double dipped on our tips. All bill tabs come with 15% added on for tip. Don't make our mistake by tipping in cash (which was quickly taken) and paying the TOTAL amount on the bill tab.

Thank you for visiting. We have noted your comments regarding the menu offerings which you found less than satisfactory, and have shared same with the relevant teams for review. Please be assured that we do our best to maintain the highest standards with regard to food and drink preparation, and by extension pass the same high standards to our patrons. Your comments tell us that we failed to deliver on the high standards during your visit. We have also noted your comments regarding double dipping by the wait staff, and wish to assure you that your comments have not been taken lightly. That gratuity included in the bill is the general practice on the island, and our staff is aware of this. We have initiated investigations into this matter, as this is not a practice we endorse. We thank you for bringing this to our attention, and measures will be put in place to ensure that there is not a repeat of this.

“Beware of the price gouging!”
Reviewed August 27, 2013

While shopping in the area my family and friends stepped into this restaurant/bar for a quick drink and some relaxation. They had a DJ entertaining the people and the music was good. They were having a drinking game going on at a small center stage and it was very entertaining. We eventually were approached by a waitress after 15 minutes and the 6 of us ordered one drink each. Two of the people were under age so there were 4 alcoholic drinks and 2 fountain drinks. The waitress told us that we would get to keep the fancy glass for an extra couple of dollars so we said sure and we ordered. The drinks took another 10 minutes to arrive and by then we were ready to quickly drink them and leave. It took more than a half an hour to get our server back to pay for the drinks. My party left and I waited to pay. The price that I had been quoted was in Grand Cayman dollars and did not include the HUGE tax. My bill was $119 American Money. I believe the tax was something like 25 or 30% and the exchange rate also got me. WATCH OUT!!!

Thank you for visiting. It was unfortunate to hear of your experience during your time with us, and we apologize for falling short on providing a positively memorable experience during your visit. We are happy to hear that you enjoyed the entertainment provided by the DJ in addition to people watching, which can also be very entertaining. We have noted your comments regarding the service and the wait time to receive your orders. In our business, service is a key aspect in providing a worth while experience to all our patrons, and as such, we do our best to maintain very high standards when it comes to this. Your comments make it apparent that we missed out on delivering on these high standards during your visit, and have shared same comments with our team for review. We have noted your comments regarding the the pricing and price gouging, and have taken these comments very seriously. Please note, we do not condone any activities deemed unethical at any of our locations, and have forwarded your comments to our management for immediate investigation. Just to note, the only addition to you bill should be the gratuity, which is 15%, and this is a practice by most businesses on the island. In addition, the prices on our menus are quoted on CI (Cayman dollars), for which the exchange rate to U.S. currency is approximately $1.25, so the price in U.S. dollars will bit more than what you see on the menu. Again, we apologize for your less than stellar experience, and thank you agin for visiting.

“Nice but pricey”
Reviewed August 25, 2013

For 3 cruises I wanted to visit Margaritaville in various other ports but for one reason or another was unable. I wasn't missing another opportunity when we were in Grand Cayman. While it had a wide variety of shirts, nic-nacs, and other goods to choose from as well as drinks and food, I found it a bit on the pricey side. Maybe it had to do with the Cayman dollar being = to $1.50 U.S. But we bought from other merchants and their prices didn't seem to out of line. Bought 2 margaritas in "Margaritaville" cups for $40.00 As I said, nice place but I was a little disappointed.

Thank you for visiting and for your review. We're always happy to hear when our visitors enjoy the time with us, and we thank you for taking the time to leave such a lovely review. On days when there are no ships in port, Grand Cayman tends to be on the more laid back side, and this is ideal for some visitors. We happy to hear that you enjoyed the water amenities, as well as the food and the entertainment provided. Our culinary offerings are a big part of our business, so we always do our best to serve the freshest, tastiest foods to all who choose to partake. We thank you again for visiting, and hope to see you again.

“Been to better.”
Reviewed August 19, 2013

Generally, Margaritaville restaurants are what they are - pub-style, fun food, fun drinks and fun, at times wild, activities. Grand Cayman Margaritaville, as Margaritavilles go was less than ok. The food was below average, the place was amazingly unclean and the servers were disinterested. We've been to the island many times and give Margaritaville a try each time and each time it's the same. I think we've given up on this one... sorry.

Thank you for visiting. It was very disappointing to read your review, and we apologize for your less than extraordinary experience during your time with us. It was especially disappointing, as you have visited us multiple times. We always do our best to extend a positive culinary, beverage and service experience, and we seem to have missed out on multiple opportunities to provide with this positive experience. We have shared your comments with our team for immediate review and action, and ask that you accept our apologies for not extending to you an experience worth repeating. Thank you again for visiting.

“Typical.....”
Reviewed July 29, 2013

Typical tourist stop. Nothing special. You've been one you've been to them all. Same menu, prices, etc. So if you want predictable, this is the place. Personally, I should have tried some local place I couldn't eat at anywhere else. Not disappointing, but same ole, same ole.
