“The ONLY way to see Sting Ray City!”
Reviewed May 18, 2011

I visited Grand Cayman on Wednesday, May 11th with a group of 8 friends. We were met at the cruise port and directed to a bus by a very friendly host who told us she had booked us the grand treatment. She wasn't kidding! We were taken to a million dollar yacht with 2 of the friendliest tour guides we could ever ask for. They had Jager Bombs and Rum Punch waiting for us and told us to make ourselves at home. It was easy to do with 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a full kitchen, washer/dryer... this boat was amazing!!! They had snacks on board and had music playing (that they offerred to let us control, but it was already great so we didn't). It was laid back and just the most fun excursion I've ever experienced. When we got out to Sting Ray City and saw all the other people being cattled in on the nastiest boats I've ever seen, we definitely felt like rock stars!

The guides let us all hold the sting rays and feed them, and took pictures of us the whole way. Next we all went to snorkel by the reef. At the end of the day we were given a CD with all the pictures they took. (Note- we were given the CD, not charged $30 for it)!

Don't book on the ship (or with anyone else at all, really). Go with Cayman Style Ocean Adventures. The price was amazing and the staff couldn't have been friendlier.

“Great Tour”
Reviewed May 17, 2011

The Marineland Tour was a lot of fun and very informative. The captain and first mate were extremely friendly and humorous. I would definitely recommend this tour to visitors as it allows you to see the different parts of George Town and Seven Mile Beach all while being informed on the history too. Super affordable as well.

“fun and informative !”
Reviewed May 17, 2011

i recently whent on the hydra-terra with marineland tours and thought it was excellent, I have lived on grand cayman for 3 years and initially whent on the bus/boat , busoat ?? ( whatever) as i had visitors from the u.kand for the novelty value of being on board a bus driven into the ocean, great fun , but i was surprised how much i learned from first mate richards narration along the way.a previous poster mentioned that richard is not 'native' caymanian i think this is misleading as having talked to richard after i discovered that he has been on island 16 years and is a caymanian citizen , he sure knew a lot about the island and was more than happy and able to answer any questions we threw at him ! The tour took aproximately 90 minutes and you get to see and hear about the history and development of the georgetown/ seven mile beach area before splashing down into the water where captain phil takes over and talks you through the marine life and even the shipwreck that you pass over in the water ..this is all viewed on television screens inside the bus.
All in all a great tour that i would recomend not only to cruise ship passengers limited for time and wanting to get away from the diamond stores and souvenier shops but also for long term vacationers as a way of getting your bearings and seeing what the island has to offer other than the beach outside youre hotel. Will definately be taking future visitors on this again !

What a great time my friend and I had. I would highly recommend it. Tour guide and driver were excellent...just unfortunate at least one of them was not a native to the Cayman Islands.

“Marineland Tours exceeded expectations!”
Reviewed May 15, 2011

I went on Marineland Tours Hydra/Terra trip yesterday. This is an amphibious bus!! The tours guides were excellent. The trip consisted of a ride in and around George Town. Along the way the guides pointed out landmarks and gave us some interesting facts about the island. The trip also included two "splashes" into the water, where we were able to see the coral reefs below the bus/boat. There are cameras below the vessel, which display the images on flat panel televisions.
The guides were very knowledgable and friendly and made the trip very enjoyable. The tours last about 90 minutes.
I would definitely recommend this trip to anyone visiting Grand Cayman!
