Guys were great very friendly and helpful. Explained everything. my wife and i had not been diving in a while great refresher. Lots of sea life, great coral.
Thanks so much for your great comments.
Did a 2 Tank dive with Don Foster's in Grand Cayman on March 21, 2013. It was an excursion off the Carnival Conquest. This is a great dive operator, highly recommended. They took us to Eagle's nest reef and Wildlife reef. Visibility was about 90 ft and the coral was incredible. We saw a spotted eagle ray, barracuda, queen anglefish, sea turtles, parrot fish and many more tropical fish. The dive master was good, and even performed the "Levitating golf ball" trick with a scuba tank. Very enjoyable dive. We will be back soon (I hope).
Thanks for your great review. We really appreciate it and hope to see you back here to dive with us.
My husband and I were cruising on the Carnival Liberty in April 2013. The only Carnival excursion we bought was to the stingray shoal and snorkeling at Coral Garden on Don Foster's Emerald Eyes. It was a great trip. The boat was very clean and had men's and women's restrooms AND a fresh water shower to rinse off after being in salt water. We got a good talk about safety on the boat, near the reef, and with the rays. Some other boats we observed, from other excursion providers, appeared to be overloaded and their passengers ignorant of how to behave around the rays. We were well prepared and safe. We got a good natural history lesson about the rays as well. The photos taken by Bone Dry Photographers came out great. It was a windy day, not ideal for snorkeling, but they found a good spot for us along a reef that did, indeed, look like a garden of coral. We saw a good variety of fish and a ray. The buses to the dock were clean and air conditioned. Snacks and drinks were available on the boat on the return trip.
We are so glad you enjoyed your trip to Stingray City with Don Foster's. It is truly an amazing experience and Rob and his crew do a stellar job in keeping our customers safe and happy. I will be sure to pass on your great comments.
We were on a Carnival Cruise and decided to do the barrier reef snorkel and Sting Ray encounter. The bus from the cruise terminal was so packed, I had to sit on a temporary fold out seat which was uncomfortable. However, once we were on the boat, we enjoyed the rest of our excursion. Our guides were friendly and informative. The snorkel was pretty good. It would have probably been better to SCUBA dive but the encounter with the Sting Rays was AMAZING! They are so tame and will allow you to pet them and even hold them. This was definitely worth the trip!!
Yes, those Stingrays are truly amazing. We're so glad that you enjoyed yourself with them.
My wife and I have been certified for a few years now and have done the majority of our dives (30+)in Belize. We booked a two tank dive off of the Carnival (Magic) web site. When we arrived at the dive shop we were met by Sergio and his team for the normal paper work and gear rental. We did not bring any gear because we were on a cruise. The gear we rented was better than average and pretty basic, easy to use. Like most divers we have had some bad experiences with rental gear, but we had no issues at all with any of their gear.
Our crew for the two dives were Shawn (sp?) and Will. There were 9 divers in our group and we were taken out on a moderate size boat with plenty of room, extra tanks, drinking water etc. Once we arrived at the site both dive masters made sure to have an extensive safety briefing. I have been on other morning dives off of cruise ships and usually feel rushed by dive shop staff. Both of the dive masters stressed safety and took the time making sure everyone, particularly the newer divers, were comfortable. First dive was a wall dive down 80 feet, condition were great, group came down to find a turtle feeding just below the boat. Then came across a fairly large green moray cruising the reef fully visible. (This seemed kinda rare to me, usually I have only seen them outside their lair on night dives). Second dive was a shallower dive at Paradise reef. Again good safety/overview briefing. Visibility was excellent here also, and there was an abundant amount of fish in this area. Second part of the dive covered an old wreck (OV?) with quite a few larger fish hanging around.
All in all this was one of our better diving experiences. The employees of the dive shop were top notch. I would reccomend them to anyone looking for a quality dive shop. I am looking forward to spending some more time on the island and we are going to use this shop again.

Thanks so much for your great review. We take pride in our staff at Don Foster's and, from your kind words and good experience, I know we are right in doing so. We hope to see you diving with us again.
First, a huge THANK YOU to Amy Carroll who so graciously helped us complete our Open Water certification this last week! You are a rockstar! We could not have asked for a better instructor and teacher! Thank you to the entire staff for your patience and expertise. We were so comfortable with you all on our Discover Scuba dives back in July that we had to come back to Don Fosters for certification. We love how excited you all are about diving and eager to teach others. Whether you are a beginner or a pro, you will not be disappointed with this crew!! I highly recommend and we will continue to return again and again! Also thanks to Paul, his middle finger and his goosebumps for all the giggles underwater too ;)
Thanks. We really appreciate your comments and will pass them on to Amy. Hope to see you soon.
