“Bio Bay a must see”
Reviewed January 8, 2014

If you are in Grand Cayman, you must do the bio bay tour! Tom, our super cool guide, took us out for a 10 minute kayak ride to bio bay. It is so apparent that Tom loves sharing his passion with the tourists. The bioluminescent waters left us in awe. It was surreal to see the water illuminate around our paddles, feet, or hands.

Rum Point is where Tom’s staging area is. It is extremely easy to find. The boat dock is on one end, he is on the opposite. Thanks for an awesome experience Tom!

“Wonderful kayak tour to bioluminescent bay”
Reviewed January 7, 2014

Our family (2 parents, girls 11 and 13) enjoyed the kayak tour to the bay with bioluminescence very very much. The tour left from Rum Point. The company and tour guide handled everything very professionally and very satifactorily. We made reservations at the last minute so had to go on the 11PM tour. I was a little concerned that the paddling part would be a bit much for an out of shape mom and a kid in the kayak, but it was fine. The paddling part is fairly short and the guide set a reasonable pace. We had lots of time in the bay to play with the sparkling water. We did several excursions in Grand Cayman during the week we were there, and this one was by far the best for the money (some of the others were also great but were much more expensive).

“Ages 7 to 70 Loved This Trip”
Reviewed January 4, 2014 via mobile

Our group had a great night paddling out under the stars and seeing the bioluminescence. The tour was organized and timely and the guide was friendly and helpful. Our party was made up if family ages 7 to 70 and everyone had a great time!

Hello HBD,

"The tour was organized and timely and the guide was friendly and helpful."
Thank-you for noticing our care with organisation and time management.

"Our party was made up if family ages 7 to 70 and everyone had a great time!"

For future senior guests, please note that some physical is required and those that are over 65 are recommended to perhaps do a dry run on kayak during the day for those with no prior experience in a kayak or canoe.

“Kids absolutely loved it...and so did the adults”
Reviewed January 2, 2014

The kayaks were the most comfortable we've been in, and that was just the start. The staff had good humor and were knowledgeable about the ecosystem of the bioluminesence and the bays. The kids, ages 10 and 12, ranked this right up there with Stingray City, and raved about it to everyone who would listen when we got back.

Dave was our tour guide, and did a great job. He seemed a little disappointed that no one took him up on his offer to tow the kayak back to the dock.

I highly recommend Cayman Kayaks - great time, great people.

Julio,

Dave just finished building those tow ropes and was telling me about how excited he was to be using them for the first couple nights. That make me laugh that he seemed sad not to use them lol.

I'm happy you have a great time with Dave and enjoying the bioluminescence with Cayman Kayaks

Best
