Owner description: Experience local flavour at the Farmers & Artisans Market. The Camana Bay Farmers & Artisans Market is a showcase for all that is grown and made in Cayman. The more than 40 shops and restaurants of Camana Bay are joined by as many growers and purveyors offering fresh produce, specialty foods, gifts, jewellery, skincare products, crafts, teas, flowers, jellies, seasonings and more. Beginning at 3pm, the Market is infused with entertainment, ranging from live music and artists creating their craft in real time, to cultural demonstrations of thatch weaving, rope making, conch blowing, soldier crab racing and traditional games. Imagination Playground inspires children's creativity in the cool waters of The Crescent Fountain while adults discover products and experiences found only in Cayman. The festivities continue into the evening with The Flavour Tour, a progressive dinner featuring local ingredients presented in the signature styles of the restaurants of Camana Bay. Diners enjoy four small plate courses complemented by feature cocktail or wine pairings, ending the night at West Indies Wine Company with a taste of one of their 80 vintages. The cost is CI$69 per person including gratuities and tickets are available at West Indies Wine Company, located on The Paseo. No Cayman Islands experience is complete without a visit to the Camana Bay Farmers & Artisans Market.

For an island that really does not have much area for farming the produce available was good. Some very interesting items but my favorite was Ms. Ivy of Ivy's Cayman Treats. She had homemade pepper sauces and her very own jerk seasoning dry rub mix. She explained to us how to use it. Very friendly and made the stop to the Farmer's Market worth it. I brought some of the seasoning home and successfully made a delicious batch of Jerk Pork Chops! Thanks Ms.Ivy + thanks Caymana Bay Farmer's Market

“Friendly vendors but tiny "farmer's market"”
Reviewed February 27, 2013

We drove from North Side for this and were initially very disappointed. There are about 10 vendors there. 2 selling produce, 1 selling jelly, 1 selling bread, 1 selling cookies, 1 selling soaps, 1 selling juices and other drinks and snacks. The whole thing would fit in 2 rooms of my house.
The soap lady from Bubbles was very friendly and we talked to her a lot. Bought a little, and went to her store later for more and some samples. We did buy a little of everything, but had planned to shop for local food to eat for the group in our house and it was not for that. We went to Fosters grocery afterwards. Inventories were tiny too. I don't know how it's open 12-7. That said, once over our disappointment, we did buy some good things, and talking to the vendors was the best part. Everyone was very friendly.
