Serving appetizers like the conch ceviche, conch fritters, calamari and coconut shrimp & our signature curry, fish & chips and the Big Maca Burger; there's something for everyone. Don't forget to leave room for dessert, our homemade Ice Cream Sandwiches are a great way to finish up a hot day in the sun. “Don't miss the Monday night BBQ Buffet”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 4, 2013

The Monday night BBQ buffet is a great value at just $15 CI. The food was great and better than we expected. The buffet consisted of a variety of fresh salads (cucumber salad, potato salad, etc.), Johnny cakes, plantains, rice & beans, jerk chicken, island style fish, BBQ ribs, and a variety of other sides. The view is great and the atmosphere is casual. It's a little bright and a little hot right at sunset, so you may want to plan that out. The waitresses were nice, but not really overly friendly. We had better service at other places on the island. You can snorkel right off the restaurant. The bar area seemed like it would be nice to sit and have a few drinks in the evening (we were traveling with a baby so this was not in the cards for us).
We also ate at the Cracked Conch upstairs and really enjoyed our meal there. It ran about $200 US so be aware that it's a bit more pricey but it was an excellent dinner.

“Awesome BBQ food!”

Make sure you know where the restaurant is because most bus drivers aren't too familiar with the restaurant's location.

“Ate here twice”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 1, 2013

The first time we were driving around and stopped for drinks but stayed for dinner. Food was very good. The second time we came to snorkel and then have dinner. Once again, food was good and service was fast.

“Consistently a great place to hang out”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 29, 2013

Macabuca has been our "local" now for a couple of trips and I wanted to post an update on my earlier review.

The service is consistently friendly and efficient. The food is always tasty. I think in our various visits we had pretty much everything off the menu. My favourite is definitely the chicken curry.

One option which I didn't know before was that they only have one dessert, which sounds disappointing, until you find out that you can order from the Cracked Conch dessert menu, and they make their own ice cream! The favourite of this past trip was the Salted Caramel Ice Cream.

“Great Views”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 25, 2013

Great location, food and service!!! Go to Macabuca and enjoy the outdoor seating and in the early evening see the divers go for their night dives. Interesting to see their underwater lights reflect up in the ocean.
