“Best spot for port day”

We chose to go there for our port day while cruising. We took the public bus (depot two blocks from the ship beside the library). West Bay bus #1 and #2 take you there. The bus is actually a white mini van.

You get dropped off at the cemetery and then walk the little path down to the beach.

This is a great, QUIET, white sand beach with no rocks. There are trees for shade, but no chairs or vendors. It is at the far end of Seven Mile beach. We heard from other travelers that Seven Mile beach was rocky in spots. We did bring water shoes for our walk down the beach, but at Cemetery beach itself this was not necessary. There was a gentleman raking the beach when we arrived. It is very clean.

The Fosters grocery store is a five minute walk past the beach along the same road if you need to pick up lunch. Turn left as you exit the beach.

A very nice beach and a really good place with a coral reef to see many beautiful fish snorkeling. I stayed at White Sands and it was only a 25 minute walk.

Fortunately our condo was only a quarter mile walk to cemetery reef, so we could walk and snorkel back or snorkel both ways...depending on how much time we had. You do need to go out a ways to catch the reef action but there is tons of sea life.

A must visit site for snorkelers

One of the best places to snorkel and hang out at the beach. Its free and it has nice shade. Ask your taxi bus driver to drop you off there. You won't regret it.

A great beach, super-easy to get to at the north end of SMB. Kids could easily enter and swim out to reefs just off the beach. The fish are clearly fed as they swarmed us, which was a little creepy, but cool. Saw a wide array of fish, very close to the surface, all easily swimable from shore, even with younger kids. There can be a current, so, obviously, make sure your swimmers are capable of handling it. If so - stop by and enjoy the show!
