My family of seven made reservations with Sun Rays Tours over the internet based on other tripadvisor recommendations. Lorenzo was quick with his emails and gave specific instructions for contact, once in Cayman. The only bump was that we went on the Carnival Freedom and the ships time was one hour off of local time so we waited (and shopped) for an hour until Alexander arrived to transport us to the marina. Everyone on board the boat was very helpful and did everything they could to make our trip fun and informative. We saw larger groups leaving with other tours and we were so glad that we hadn't booked through the ship. Lunch was provided as well as all the equipment and instructions necessary for a great time. Alexander even took photos of us with the stingrays while we were in the water and Daniella helped our 9-year old daughter when we got to the reef. We could not have asked for a better or more fulfilling experience. If you only do one thing while in the Caribbean, make it a trip with Sun Rays Tours!!

I have been to Stingray CIty before when going to Grand Cayman on cruises and always enjoyed it but this is by far the classy way to do the trip. I highly recommend booking with Sunrays Tours. Small group of about 14 made for a very personal and relaxing tour. Our teenagers said it was like being on our own private boat. The captain took great care to be sure we were in safe waters for the day and our crew guides Alec and David were excellent and very professional. My daughter was afraid of the stingrays when we first got there and our guides went out of their way to help her see the stingrays for the beautiful, gentle creatures they were. When we snorkeled, Alec dove down, coaxed out a Moray eel and then wrapped it around his body right before a large stingray came by and tried to steal the food from the eel. It was amazing to watch! Even Alec was wowed by it. As we sailed back to the yacht club after a beautiful day of stingrays, snorkeling, eating pizza and enjoying ice cold beverages, we sailed past the other tourists on their overcrowded, old boats and couldn't help but feel extremely pampered and spoiled as we sailed along on this beautiful catamaran, the "Doppio Sogno". We will book with them from now on when ever we go to Grand Cayman. ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL!

We enjoyed our experience on this tour. The tour guides were friendly and very personable. Since this was a smaller group (no more than 25 people) we enjoyed the personalized attention. The guides were very knowledgeable. They provided great snorkeling equipment, beverages and a snack. The boat was very clean. And the ride was extremely relaxing. Thanks for a great time!

We greatly enjoyed our experience on this tour. It was great to be on a boat where you were not packed together and the guides were informative and friendly. I highly recommend going with this outfit. The sail back into harbor is beautiful. Also, the pizza they give to your is delicious.

We had previously been to Grand Cayman on a cruise ship so we did the Sting Ray City tour which was OK. The cruise ship thing is not our cup of tea and we felt like a piece of meat as we came off the ship but I digress.....

This time, we stayed on island and decided to take our friends to Sting Ray City. After searching around the internet for not only a good value but a but experience, we decided that Sun Ray Tours would be worth a shot. We were not disappointed.

We spoke to Alex by phone and learned that the afternoon tour was only 2 people prior to our call to add 9. They like to only take 20 or so but will go to 25 if needed. We basically had the entire boat to ourselves. It was fabulous.

The cost was USD $60 which included a shuttle to/from (whic we did not need as we had our own car), snorkel equipment (masks, snorkel, fins- not the best equipment but it works. If you have your own, bring it!), cheese pizza, and drinks (bottled spring water/ coke/diet coke).

Davide was another ship's mate who was very friendly as was Alex and Lorenzo (the ship's owner and captain). These Italians bring their charm to the adventure and made all feel very welcomed.

I will not repeat all the reviews with what you are told but you are given good advice and taken care of as well. They even took pictures at Sting Ray City which we could obtain from their Facebook page for our own. The squid they provide makes the Sting Rays happy during the amazing event.

The boat is a catamaran with lots of room to stretch out.

Snorkeling was close by where we were able to see two green moray eels and, if brave enough, could go and touch them. The trip was highly enjoyable. My only minor complaint was the cigarette smoke from Lorenzo but he is the captain and I stayed towards the front of the boat.

Highly recommended. For those on island, do the afternoon sail. It is less crowded than the morning "cruise shippers" trips.
