This was a dive we did with the kids to see if they could find hammerheads! The sea was a bit too rough for embarking for the kids, with the ladders and outboard swinging towards them, but it is a fabulous dive site. It is probably a little too deep for kids but they thoroughly enjoyed it, as soon as we entered the water a beautiful eagle ray glided past, and on the second dive a large turtle frightened the boys who were holding the rope waiting for everyone to join them! I have dived in Bunakan, Monado and this was comparable!

This reef protects the North Sound, but inside the sound side it's five to eight feet deep and a great spot to snorkel for all ages. Snorkelers have been careless in some sections, but you will find its worth the boat trip out.

I can't imagine coming to Cayman and not doing a wall dive! Even if you're new to diving or have gone out a thousand times, the North Wall is a great trip with a lot to see!

May is a great time to go to Grand Cayman, for diving. The boats and sights are not crowded. I went out with Red Sails Sports at Rum Point, We used them all week for all our activities.Everyone at RSS are without a doubt "THE BEST". Walter , did a super job helping to arrange our schedules. The North Wall is a short boat ride from Rum Point. {15mins} Our 1st dive was at "WHITE STROKE CAYNON" It was simply spectacular, at 100ft. and 100ft. visibility, you could not ask for better conditions. Fantastic fish and coral. The 2nd sight "PENNY`S ARCH" was just as good , plenty of coral and fish. Special THANKS to Kyle and Sarah, for taking such good care on and in the water.

Epic moments on this dive are as common as damsel fish. Large Caribbean fish like angles and morays make it easy to overlook the many beautiful small creatures like the eel gardens. I swam beside a giant eagle ray as it flew along the crest of the reef, inspecting me carefully for several seconds (seemed like hours). After swimming side by side for a few seconds, the eagle ray banked like a jet fighter turning on the afterburners and blasted down the back side of the reef revealing to my eyes for the first time a drop into the deep blue abyss 3000 feet down. I ventured a few power strokes down the bottomless cliff face, but air consumption and discretion caused me to head back to the top of the reef long before my amazed mind was ready. This is without question one of the 10 best dive sites in the world.
