We traveled by sailboat to Anegada and dinghied over to the public dock in front of Potters. As we walked up, Elba, our bartender, had just switched on the SeaHawks game...she turned and asked what we would like and mixed a terriffic (and potent) Potters Punch! We came back for dinner and drinks the next night which was terrific/fresh lobster (we watched Sam prepare and cook them), met with some locals and heard their stories about Anegada, left our "Conch Republic" flag hanging on the ceiling and had a ton of laughs. A very enjoyable, and personal beach bar....oh and we met Mr. Potter....a very nice individual!

1 minute from the Ferry, this restaurant shares a great location next to the Anegada Reef Hotel. Outdoor dining under a canopy or on the deck covering over the water. Music was a little loud and monotonous, but I guess it was dinner music. No variety, just instrumentals. Competent and friendly service, with a very generous portion of lobster. The service staff was busy with about 30 people for dinner, all of whom placed their seafood orders prior to dinner. So when we got there, we had a pre reserved table with our order written on a slip so there would be no confusion by the waitstaff. So when you make your reservation, you also select your side dishes and any appetizers. We thought the lobster was little overdone on the BBQ, but not by much, so it could have gone the other way too. But it was good and very satisfying. Like the other restaurants in Anegada, you must make dinner reservations by 4PM. I went over the in afternoon, and saw the live lobsters that were begin selected for dinner. No doubt they were fresh. Lobster is king on Anegada and you can get it at every restaurant. This was a pretty decent place to partake.

We have eaten at Potters every year for the past six years. Our first meal there was very good and our party of eight enjoyed it. Since then, the quality of the food and the service have declined. Potters appears to now cater to very loud tourist groups of twenty or more. Our group of eight had dinner there last week and we were all solely disappointed with the food, including the watery lobster fettuccine which contained very little lobster. In previous years this had been one of our favorite dishes there. Service was basically non-existent. Sad to say that this will be our last time visiting Potters on Anegada. If you are looking for ear splitting music and don't care about the food or the service, this might be the place for you. We really enjoyed our lunch at Cow Wreck's and will give that a try for dinner next year.

We sailed to Anegada on a 50’ sloop in early August, 2013 and decided to have dinner at the Anegada Reef Hotel. My wife and I have had the lobster on the beach there before and a fun party afterward. This year, the dinner was fine but NO entertainment afterward. We heard music from down the beach and followed it to Potter’s. There was a Sunsail flotilla in port and perhaps 100+ people dancing and parting. Definitely a GREAT time. Met lots of new friends and danced the night away. We hailed it as one of the funnest impromptu parties of all times!! Can’t speak for the food but the rest of the reviews seem to agree -- it’s a fun party spot!!

We went here for a delicious dinner (lobsters and steaks v.good) We were told by friends that this was the place to party, the atmosphere was fun and exciting. Some boats came in, had dinner and we turned around the party had kicked off (still dont know how it started). There was dancing and a feel good attitude here, not to wild, but not dead like other places we've stayed.
