“Literally on the water, over the water actually”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 25, 2012

We had a great dinner here on our last night on Anegada. The place that we stayed(Neptune's) recommended that we call our order in advance and schedule a time for dinner. Great call.
Its a beautiful spot situated on a dock over looking the bay. They place was called the Lobster Trap, so it seemed weird to order anything other than that. So, lobster was what we ordered and they did not disappoint. I must warn you, that if you order it, they will provide you with a serious amount of lobster. The wife and I both, had three good sized lobster-halves on our plates along with tasty side dishes. Really, really good food.

“Outstanding in every way”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 17, 2012

This restaurant is absolutely gorgeous when it's all lit up with twinkling Christmas lights around the dock railings. The tables are located on this raised dock area, under the stars and the palm trees. The bar and covered restaurant area are also inviting, but not nearly so romantic.

Lobster dinners are unbelievably delicious. It doesn't get any better than this. The "half lobster" is actually two halves of a smaller lobster - but still way more than I could eat. My husband got the "full lobster" and it was two halves of a huge crustacean - and more than he could eat.

Dinners come with "family style" servings of fresh lettuce salad and choice of dressings. The lobster plates come with baked potatoes, bread and butter. Then when you think you can't eat another bite, the waitress asks which dessert you want! Yes, dessert is included in the price (typically $35-55). Our choices were key lime pie or carrot cake. Small slices, thankfully - but top quality.

Nice wine list. Great drinks, including lime dacquiri's and painkillers.

Reservations are REQUIRED because they grill (over wood fires) only the exact number of lobsters "reserved" for the night. The lobsters are cleaned, split, buttered and wrapped in foil prior to grilling. Truly outstanding in every way.

“Best on the Island?”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 11, 2012

Having been to Anegada twice, I decided to try the Lobster Trap. Depsite the phone being disconnected they were avaiable on VHF Ch 16 imimediately. Dinner was a pleasent surprise - much nicer facility than the two hotel/guest houses, comparable if not better food, pleaseant service and considerably less expensive. My new number one on the island!

“The best lobster experience around!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 31, 2012

It's hard to find words to the describe an evening our yacht's crew spent in this restaurant and we were all common to Caribbean food and "ambiance" as most of us lived at French West Indies for a time. We were served the most fresh lobster ever, served "simply perfect" with an accompanion of melted butter, baked patatos and crunchy salad.. Desserts were suprisingly delicious as well (banana split ice-creams!!!! lemon tarte!! carrot cake! ). The restaurant, a bit PINK at daytime, with all the little lights in the evening became really the most beautiful and charming on the shore. As there was not a lot of boats for dinner that evening, we were given the whole lobster at price of a half, and even if it wasn't a case - they were at best rates around. Service was just astonishing. And little off-topic: the nicest toilets I'd seen for weeks! I normally don't write reviews but this place just earned a huge "thank you". Go there, eat there, don't look any further, you'll be in heaven!
