Whilst on Loblolly beach, we went for lunch at the Big Bamboo. The service was okay, but the food was excellent. I didn't try the 'famous' lobster, but my snapper was amazing, as was the mahi mahi.
The highlight of the day was the crazy old man, who randomly started performing for us whilst we were eating...weird, but fun...:D

There's also a little bar, where you can grab a cocktail before heading to the beach. The locals were very friendly (as I have found in most of the BVI's) and the background music really added to the nice, chilled-out vibe.

Highly recommended, especially when there aren't any annoyingly loud children about (speaking from personal experience, at least...)

This is a nice beach bar and restaurant with a gift shop, restrooms and showers. The food here is quite good, but made fresh to order, so be sure to order earlier in the day and give them a time when you want to enjoy the meal. Beers here are $4 and mixed drinks can be $9, so be aware and enjoy. The sidewalks are painted blue which keeps the concrete from becoming excessively hot to bare feet walking upon it. Be sure to bring your camera because the place is extremely photogenic. We rented a car on our second day in Anegada and drove to Loblolly Bay. We found Big Bamboo there. It was a pretty open air restaurant painted turquoise, purple, pink and yellow with benches along the tables. You are definitely on island time at this place (we waited about 30 minutes for our food), but the wait staff is gracious and helpful and the food was good, as well as the drinks. They offer everything from lobster, fish, and shrimp to chicken fingers. Outside the dining area are trees with hammocks and tables and chairs under them in the shade if you want to relax, nap or enjoy a drink. Beyond the trees is the beautiful beach. White sand, crystal clear water, and plenty of reefs for snorkeling or just paddling around. There are a few palm frond umbrellas with benches under them, but plenty of area for spreading out a towel and taking in the sun. When we were through swimming, we got more drinks from the bar. They have little "pools" for your feet to get the sand off before coming into the dining area. They also have restrooms and showers. You could easily spend a lazy, relaxing day here. If you don't drive, It looked like there's always a taxi available. We'll go back.

We sailed our own boat and anchored in front of the Anegada Reef hotel. At the hotel (owned by an ex-Brit and local (I think) husband) they were very nice. We made dinner reservations there and they took us over to the beach. About a 15 minute ride on the back of a jitney. Sure, a bit rough but not unpleasant. The restaurant added the cost of the ride to our dinner bill that night.
We got there and decided to have lunch first. They said (as they do many place in BVI) to order first and come back. We said we would rather order and sit down and have some beers. They were very accommodating. So we sat in the covered outdoor area drinking Red Stripe and listening to a rather righteous selection of 70's and 80's hits while the waitress sang along in a fine voice. The food was all homemade and fresh. I had Conch stew which was quite good. Some had the Caribbean BBQ chicken which they raved about. Another had the fresh grouper and she thought it was excellent. All in all, very pleasant and nice. They have a nice little bar not more than 10 feet away. They also have a little ice cream stall. I would recommend this as a very decent beach side restaurant.

This bar is covered in personalised pieces of drift wood from visitors. It is a family run business and the bar / restaurant is a great place to hang out for a break from the sun. Drinks especially the pain killers have a good shot of alcohol unlike the bar at Cow Wreck that we visited. Staff are very friendly and there are also a few rooms for rent, gift shop etc.
Crazy Ritchie is the resident entertainer who burns your names into driftwood either to take home or pin up in the bar he also juggles for a few dollars / beers. He is part of the fixtures and fittings and a great character while he visits from October to May
