“Anegada Reef Hotel and Restaurant”
Reviewed March 27, 2012

The Anegada Reef Hotel and Restaurant is at the center of all the activities on the British Virgin Islands of Anegada. I travel on the island by boat from the Island of Tortola. We were able to visit the island of Virgin Gorda on our journey to Anegada. The Anegada Hotel and Restaurant is about 100 meters from the wharf which was an easy walk. The hotel is a small lovely accommodation located on the beach. It has a lovely beach bar with some amazing personality. I was no able to stay at the hotel overnight but I got a sample of the hotels restaurant which was a fantastic meal.

The staff was really friendly an ask that I come again. One of the fascinating things I found out about the restaurant was that visitors that go island hopping in the area can easy make the breakfast, lunch and diner reservation then sailing to the island and enjoy their meal then leave. Another thing about the hotel was it provides transportation for visitors to the other side of the island where you can snorkel and dive in one of the top reefs in the world the Anegada Reef. I was able to visit the beach which was really awesome site with lovely white sand and great facility for snorkeling, diving and huge blue and green building used for changing.

I always stay at Anegada Reef Hotel when I'm on Anegada. Great dock to keep a boat or plenty of moorings. Rooms are comfortable with a/c. Staff is very Friendly and willing to help find excursions to some of the other beautiful beaches on the island. Don't miss the grilled lobster dinner and the conch stew it's Fantastic.

“A Jewel in the Rough”
Reviewed February 21, 2012

In response to the humorous and well wriiten fiction from the lady from Philly who trashed everything about Anagada from the gendarmes to the hotel to the locals, let me say our most recent experience at this wonderful laid back resort is that it is GREAT! If that lady was bored, the problem I assure you is with her, nothing about the island. From the staff--thanks in particular to Loreen--to the management--thanks in particular to Loraine--to the food and drink (don't miss the rum smoothie), to the scenery and to the locals themselves, it was a great experience. Low key first class all the way. We will be back.

“Amazing lobster!”
Reviewed January 31, 2012

This was a fun reward after sailing to Anegada. Had to have your order in by 4 because they only cooked what they needed. Amazing local lobster. Also great cauliflower with cream sauce--all served with your toes in the sand. Expensive, but what a meal! If you're looking for elegance, this is not it. It's picnic tables on the sand, but great food. Small crowd because Anegada is off the beaten path.

“Its worth the sail to Anegada”
Reviewed February 22, 2011

Last week I sailed from Liverick Bay to Anegada. It was an easy and amazing sail, seeing the pine trees grow out of the ocean as we neared the island. So long as you stay south and west of the reef, the approach is easy and well marked. But the true gem is arriving and having dinner at the Anegada Reef Hotel. BBQ on the beach, listening to the waves lap against the shore and enjoying fresh caught lobsters, hand picked from the lobster trap at the dock. I mean lobsters!!! not little crayfish but 2lb'rs and sweet (no added butter needed-but available). After dinner, we danced on the beach under the stars.
I can't wait to get back to a little piece of heaven on earth.
