“High-end, laid-back.”

My husband and I just honeymooned here and it was perfect. We knew that we wanted both activity and relaxation, and this was definitely the place. We stayed in a non-air conditioned room, which ended up being breezy and cool, and thoroughly enjoyed the views and the hammock. The rooms were clean and the staff was attentive and friendly. The food was great, we aren't "food snobs" but we do appreciate fresh fish and well prepared meats. The drinks were reasonably priced and well made, and the Pub was a great spot to grab a snack and watch Soccer. Being avid sailors, the access to the fleet and organized activities such as The Beer Can Regatta, and Out of Bounds Sail were perfect for fun-seekers like us. Overall I would say that BEYC is the perfect place for anyone who is in search of the perfect vacation- the option to be active, lay on a beautiful beach, read in a hammock, watch the game, drink some rum punch (or a nice glass of wine), and most importantly forget about life at home :)

In making our honeymoon decision we looked at places that were kid-free. I would not let children deter you from BEYC at all. It is perfect for all ages. It helps to know how to sail, so I would suggest taking a few lessons before arriving, but if you don't they do offer private lessons, so by the end of the week you'll be a pro!

We will definitely be back.

Room Tip: They allow you to pre-order alcohol to your room before you arrive. I would strongly suggest doing...

We have visited the Bitter End twice only by boat, taking a slip while we chartered in the BVI.
It is a lovely facility and the marina management/dock hands are helpful and friendly.
The showers and washrooms are limited for boaters to those on the dock. Also, the pool is off limits, even with a paid stay. The restaurants are average but friendly staff and the second stay we preordered a birthday cake that was excellent and ready. There is setup for kitesurfing on the northwest side-self launch and landing posts and you can kite in the area from the beach, north of Saba Rock resort. The second time we had a conference there and the conference facilities were great.

We have traveled to Bitter End Yacht Club 3 times. Once on an all inclusive vacation staying on land and twice via sailboat and staying on a mooring. We have thoroughly enjoyed each and every visit to this beautiful vacation spot. People are so friendly, food is terrific, all of the water activities are top notch and lovely little day hikes available. Lots of things to see and do or just relax and sit by the water or the pool.

Would highly recommend Bitter End Yacht Club.

Room Tip: We have stayed up on the hill and have thoroughly enjoyed the quiet solitude of our room. Love the...

If you are looking to pay top dollar for old worn out rooms with no WiFi that have weak air conditioners and really cheap furniture then Bitter End is for you. If you enjoy room service, in-room wifi, air conditioners that actually work, mini bars, bathtubs and television then you will be absolutely miserable staying at BEYC. The BVI's are absolutely beautiful and the people that work at BEYC all do an awesome job, but they really need to step up the hotel side. Walking up what seems like a 2 mile uphill trail only to get to your worn out HOT room filled with mosquitos and crappy sheets and towels is not very enjoyable.....

Room Tip: Ask for a room at the bottom near the restaurant.....

We first went here in 1986 and just returned from our 5th stay at the resort. We also have stopped here many times when we ctthartered sailboats in the BVis. We really like! If you like the water and watersports this is the ideal place. We have recommended it as a honeymoon destination and taken family vacations here. Everyone we have ever known who went really enjoyed it. Child friendly. It is rustic ... not a Hilton ... but that is desirable to us!

Some of the same staff is there who were there on our first visit.

Though wind is normal i personally require an air conditioned room but wish i didn't have to pay extra for it.

The only bad thing about going there is the long travel time required for us...but we keep going back so that says it all!

Room Tip: All rooms have beautiful views. Some rooms have a/c. Some rooms require lots of walking and step cl...

Great vacation had by all. The Bitter End proved to be a fabulous vacation. Whether we wanted to relax by the pool or beach, go sailing, take out a motor boat and head to Prickly Pear or take one of many day trips and snorkel trips, we had fun. There are so many things to do here if you choose, or one can just relax at one of the many beaches...and snorkel just off the jetty. We saw tarpon in the water just off the sunning dock, and a variety of sea life at the beach by the pool. The food was great...breakfast by the water was fantastic...as was lunch and dinner. The rooms were very interesting...teak and open...very cool. We had a garden view room and although it looked out at the mangroves, it was fine considering we left our room in the morning and came back after sunset. I would recommend that if you are coming from NYC, it may be wise to spend the night in San Juan and take the first flight out on Seaborne to Trellis bay the next morning....You then have an entire day at the Bitter End and dont miss out on anything. The people here are lovely...and although it is tricky to get to...when you arrive, you never want to leave.

.............what a perfect place to relax, and if you so desire, get an adrenaline jolt doing water sports. A great place to sail a Hobie Cat or Laser, not to mention world-class kitesurfing. The service here is outstanding yet unforced.......and, wonderful food and spa treatments make this a well-rounded resort.Something for everyone in this island paradise. Lacking in nothing.
