“Great restaurant, beautiful view, highly recommended”
Reviewed May 5, 2014

Our party of six shared a number of tapas. Each dish was wonderful with unique flavors. The baby ribs were delicious. The shrimp tempura was served in a lettuce wrap providing a nice mix of textures with outstanding flavors. Dumplings were all delicious as were the tacos. Pad Thai was average.

The location is terrific right on the water. You can have drinks in a number of locations around the property. Since the restaurant faces the west you can find places to sit that are a bit shaded for prior to dinner drinks.

We found the wine and drink prices to be quite expensive. Although the wait staff were very attentive we would have liked the meal served a little more slowly. Perhaps ordering in two more waves would be the solution to the speed of delivery

We loved the restaurant and highly recommend it.

“A great pick”

Sunset and beverages before tapas or a full meal. This spot is one of many where you can enjoy the beauty of Virgin Gorda and the hospitality of the people. Virgin Gorda is full of great folks and this gorgeous setting is one of the places you should make an effort to enjoy. Food is very good and the service was great.

Sent there for our anniversary. Atmosphere was awesome, waitress,Cindy was excellent. Food was great except calamari was chewy. It had great flavor just chewy. Tempura shrimp wraps, excellent ,lobster, shrimp dumplings were the 2 best things. We are going back for other things, don't miss this place.leigh

“Very good food, drinks, wine, beer overpriced”
Reviewed April 29, 2014 via mobile

As other reviews indicate, the food is excellent, primarily the tasting menu rather than main dishes, with exquisite flavors. Beautiful setting, fine service, but can be slow. BUT: $13 for a small glass of Kim Crawford Sauv. Blanc, a good wine but grocery store level? $10-11 for bottled beer? Unfortunately they are taking liberties with these prices, which was the only negative in our experience and could easily be remedied.

Hello.

Thank you for visting us at CocoMaya and for taking the time to post on Trip Advisor. I am please you liked the overall experience however would like to explain our beverage pricing somewhat.
Our beer pricing starts at $4 for domestic beers including Heineken though during Happy Hour they are $3. These prices are lower than many places on the Virgin Gorda.
Our beer pricing does go up to $10 however the higher end prices are for specialty Belgium Beers that we fly in and are running up to 10% abv.
Thank you again though for your comments. Hopefully we will see you again in the future and perhaps we can offer you a tasting of a Belgium or two.
Cheers.

Coco Maya is quite good. Very much worth the trip and the price, while moderately high, was not excessive.
