We bkd 1 night on a recommendation at this 8 room hotel. The place itself is nice and welcoming but after 1 hour of sitting on the beach we went for a walk around the island, which takes all of 5 mins!As we had been told it was "perfectly safe" to leave things around and the staff leave their doors unlocked, etc, we left our ruckskac under the sunbed, only to return minutes later to find the rucksack moved, the zip open and our new mobile phone stolen, nothing else. We reported it immediately but nothing was found. Our evening meal was bizarre as the main course came 5 mins into our starter and just left on the table!. To cap off our trip, there was no signal on the island the next day so no computers, phones or credit card machines were working; hence my card were declined. Luckily we had enough cash but we were so glad to get off Saba Rock. We spoke to the manager before we left about the theft and were actually made to feel as if they didn't believe us and that we had MISLAID it ourselves! Not a good trip in all.

Room Tip: Over priced due to location. Gets very busy in the evenings when the boats come in not ideal for a romantic getaway

I satyed in this property for a few nights to attend a conference. I was happy with the information the staff provided before my arrival. Once in the hotel, all staff were helpful and attentive. The property location is a plus. The wifi internet was very stable. However, the room although it is comfortable needs some serious attention (and from I herad from other customers it seems to be the norm in most rooms). for instance, remote controls with dead batteries, I mentioned to them twice, nothing happened; the screens for the windows do not work very well, a couple of the light bulbs were dead. For the price you pay for the room you would expect better attention to these details. Finally, the room is not designed to work. The limited number of electric outlets are taken by the lamps, tv, stereo, etc in the room, the table where you could do some work is placed in a corner without outlets or light. Another detail that caught my attention, at night at the restaurant, staff move quickly around 10 to leave the premises and go home although there are still customers dining and drinking, and if you arrive to eat around that time you are offered only a gew options (sandwiches, burgers, etc). BTW, breakfast is continental style and with the same options every day. The common areas (stairs, corridors, etc., remained sandy and with leaves during my whole stay; a sign that cleaning is limited.

Called in one evening on our passage from Antigua to the BVI. Dropped anchor just before the end of happy hour, so two of our crew were dispatched to the Rock. One for an urgent double round of Pain Killers and Rum Punches and the other to book a table for six. Both requests were initially greeted with some resistance until we proved to be genuine. The Pain Killers and Rum Punches were excellent and we thoroughly enjoyed our meal but the highlight was the overall unique ambience of the place. This is a great place that should be visited at least once (or perhaps twice to confirm fist impressions were correct and make sure you didn't miss anything)

There are few words that can describe how stunning this setting truly is. David, the proprietor, is a consummate professional, gentle in manner, and a wealth of information of local venues and water-based adventures. The North Sound of Virgin Gorda is known for its world class sailing and yachting...not a wonder people are drawn here from all over the world. The rooms themselves are very acceptable, the service including water taxi with marvelous boat captains is superb, an excellent happy hour and free continental breakfast makes a stay at Saba Rock not only cost effective but truly memorable!!! Looking forward to our next visit!

Although my wife and I did not stay at the resort, our bareboat group stopped in for lunch on our way back from Anegada. Great lunch menu and truely some of the best choices of burgers you'll ever find. As for the resort, it appears to be a place to stay if you want to get away from the crowds, beautiful views and a very pretty petite beach. I don't believe, however, there is a swimming area from the beach or any other part of the rock. Great history, nice staff and good bar.
