We had a great day with a first class operation diving the Rhone. The first dive was wonderful with the audio tour the Dive BVI offers. On the boat they set our dive plan, then while underwater the dive master would narrate the dive. Occasionally it was heard to hear but most of the time it was discernible, your breathing could play a factor in the clearness. Over all it was a great experience. Although we did not complete the second dive due to the current, the dive guide was very accommodating and taking us to another spot. One again narrating the different types of fish and the dive. The dive guide and his partner were very professional, courteous, and engaging. I would highly recommend Dive BVI and the audio tour.

We did two trips with Dive BVI. We first did the Island Hopper Snorkel Trip. Two snorkel stops and two bar stops. We had a great time. There were great snacks, soft drinks and rum punches included on the boat. Love our stop at Willy T's and the Soggy Dollar bar. We had such a fun day. Staff on Snorkel tour was great.

We also did Scuba trip the next day. Boat staff was very informative and knowledgable and attentive. Would definitely dive with again.

Dive BVI is truly a first class operation. Their dive boats are some of the nicest I've seen! My fiancee and I are half way through a week long dive vacation at Scrub Island (Oct. 2012). I'm impressed with some of the small things they do...like clearly labeled water buckets for keeping masks and cameras separate. Their dive briefing at the start of each dive includes a wipe board with diagrams, depths, things to watch for, bottom time, etc. (It has made a great first picture on the camera for each dive). Their staff is friendly, knowledgeable, very safety conscious....and FUN. They keep their dive groups small and make every effort to create a memorable dive experience for their guests. I've enjoyed the way Rupert and Jeff use wipe boards under water to communicate and identify fish.

The diving itself has been pretty good. Not has dramatic as some destinations, but better than others. The reefs seem to be in good condition and fish are abundant. The Wreck of the Rhone is a must see while here.

I've experienced quite a few dive destinations in the last five years including, St. Lucia, Belize, Roatan, Bonaire, Curacao, Mexico, Hawaii and more...and this is truly one of the best dive operators out there.

We recently stayed at Scrub Island and our first day we went to the onsite Dive BVI shop and met with Ernst who was terrific - so helpful, insightful and a pleasure to talk to. He is top notch and can help you figure out what you want to do in the islands - everything from taking a ferry to a private charter (I heard he does a GREAT private charter from others!).
We signed up for several Dive BVI trips (snorkel, not dive) but our first one was not so great. We had an afternoon trip to The Baths (when I hear afternoon trip I think 3-4 hours), but the schedule was pushed back 45 minutes (we got notification the night before which was good), butthe boat was still late to pick up. The boat was supposed to go directly to the Baths but because of the time, they were afraid it would be too crowded to find a mooring ball so they took us to the marina in Spanish Town and got us a taxi to/from The Baths. Needless to say, once we got there they only gave us 30 minutes to snorkel. This was a two hour trip, and was such a waste of money - basically an expensive ferry ride with a rushed return. In addition, the trip was on a dive boat (we should have asked ahead of time) which is not really a fun or easy boat trip (like a catamaran). We were so disappointed. We did enjoy our Dive BVI team on board (Rupert who my family has dived with before; Chris and Mark - we certainly did NOT need three people on this trip). After this trip, we decided to cancel our full day trip (the Safari) knowing that it was on the dive boat again and based on this experience we scheduled the same trip on a catamaran with another company. **ADVICE**: later that week we did take the Trellis Bay ferry (North Sound Express) to Virgin Gorda and a taxi to the baths to spend the day - it was half the price of the Dive BVI trip and a very enjoyable and relaxing day!!
We did go to Anegada on the Sea Lion (enclosed/fast catamaran) with them later that week which was a good experience. Again, i didn't love the boat as I enjoy being outside in the sun on deck or tramps, but there were limited seats (basically only 6 people can sit outside), but it was fine - a fast trip due to the boat type. The highlight was our 'host' Luanne who was delightful! She had a wonderful personality, engaging everyone on board, was very helpful and lots of fun. We really enjoyed this trip as it was on time, well planned and relaxing.

We rented a private charter with DIVE BVI for my husband's birthday, and let me say it was worth every penny! We went on two dives, and never having done it before we were definitely nervous. Ernst was a fantastic instructor and quickly put our nerves at ease, we couldn't have asked for anyone better. We had a perfect day and we haven't been able to stop talking about our experience since. Thanks again DIVE BVI we will for sure dive with you guys again!!
