Reviewed March 22, 2012

I saw 2 local snakes, lots of lizards, and a great view from the top when I climbed this low mountain.

“The Baths and Island of Virgin Gorda”
Reviewed February 21, 2012

We were on a cruise ship and only had a day there, we booked an independant tour with Sean of Mahogany Tours and he was great, he took us around the island and we also went to The Baths, from a snorkelling point of view it was too rough, rocky and no real reef to speak of, and too crowded because of the cruise ship crowds. There are better places to go than there, however Sean did tell us to go to the bar that is just before you have to buy your tickets as they did the best Pina Coladas on the island and He was Right.

“A peaceful short hike with a terrific view”
Reviewed January 30, 2012

The walk was nice for me, but a little too difficult for young children (five years old). It took about a half an hour through the woods. When we got to the top, the view was beautiful. Parking by the upper entrance is better than the lower one. The path is cleared a little better up there.

“Views on Anegada on a Clear Day”
Reviewed January 9, 2012

I love the climb to Gorda Peak. It's a very easy climb, even for the inexperienced. You can spot tons of hermit crabs on the way up. Go near sundown for a spectacular sunset and make sure to bring your flashlight for the walk back. And bring bug spray! If the day is clear enough, you can see all the way to Anegada.

“A nice hike but no Adirondacks”
Reviewed December 16, 2011

We hiked both trails which are not difficult for us since we are used to very frequent hikes in the Adirondacks. The view is great from the platform. You will see a great variety of flora as well as hummingbirds. The path can be quite slippery, especially after a heavy rain. It is a must do on the island but also take time to enjoy walking cow patch from Little Dix and the paths and roads around Biras, Bitter End, and Oil Nut Bay.
