On a trip filled with highlights, The Baths stood out. The trick is to get here early (or overnight) so that you can first explore The Baths before the crowds show up (and they will show up).
After you're on a mooring ball you can dinghy in part way, but you cannot dinghy up to the beach; you must swim in. (There is a rope to help less-confidant swimmers pull along to shore.) We left our fins on a rock on the beach, no problem, and went exploring among the boulders and pocket beaches. If you go in where the sign reads "Exit," basically doing the loop backwards, it's a better experience. Be sure to take the quick side tracks to Devil's Bay and Stony Bay. Then you walk up the path to the top where there is a restaurant and small gift shop (and where those arriving by car park and pay the entrance fee). Then back down the hill along the path to the beach, where really you should do it all again so you can explore the side tracks more, or take a dip in the water or linger on the beaches. Devil's Bay was particularly pretty and nice. If you're in the BVI don't miss The Baths!
