I was lucky enough to arrive by sailboat and swim in from a dinghy and enjoy the beach and caves before the cruise ships unloaded. The surf was very rough right at the shore which made it tricky getting out of the water - several of us needed a bit of help. But that's all part of the adventure. The caves are truly explored by climbing and exploring and I opted not to do that, but friends from my boat thoroughly enjoyed their visit. Highly recommend.

Can't say enough about how beautiful and special this place is. Amazing rock formations, incredible blue water, fish, rock climbing - this place has it all! If you want great photography, get there early before the charter boats unload. Need to be in pretty good shape to crawl through the Baths - bending and stooping but so worth it!

We have been here 4 times and it is always breathtaking and an adventure. Word of caution, it can get pretty crowded, so look up the cruise schedule for those large ships that might be in port on the day your planning and either go early in the morning or later in the day to avoid the crowds. A must do!

However you get here, you must see this. You can come by ferry from Tortola and a couple other islands or on a private sailing tour. Here is what Robert Louis Stevenson wrote about in his Pirate stories. Boulders have been formed after tumbling down and then having natural erosion form them. It is a bit of work to get here. From Tortola it was a pleasant ferry ride, then a bus ride, then a steep hike. Some older or out of shape people may not think it is worth it. But to see the hidden caves and secluded beach and numerous secret hiding places among the Boulders is a once in a lifetime experience. Expect to clamber through some tight spots, some in water of up to three or four feet deep and you will be rewarded with a memorable experience.
