Owner description: The most well-known attraction on the island, these giant boulders or batholiths, brought to the surface by volcanic eruptions, are scattered about forming a beautiful grotto and tranquil pools.

Bad Kitty Boat Tours provided an active day of fresh sea air, crystal blue water, and unforgettably scenic destinations. The Baths at Virgin Gorda being the crown jewel of the day! A gentle swim/float into shore from the boat, then a guided walk through these stunning volcanic boulders. The setting...white sands, blue waters, gigantic prehistoric rock formations, brilliant sun...Must not be missed!

This place was like a small fun park for adults. It is tough terrain with a lot of caves, amazing magazine like photo ops and climbing up and down ropes, steps, rocks etc, so travel light, leave the flip flops and wear seekers and shorts and T-shirt over your bikini. Once you arrive in the secluded beach you can relax and be beautiful again. If you arrive through the water (from a nearby sailboat for example) beware of the underwater currents it is a dangerous area.

If you go to Virgin Gorda you MUST go to the Baths! Breathtaking. Caution though to wear water shoes and if you have difficult ambulating you will find it hard to go through.

I feel I should start off this review by saying myself and my boyfriend are in our 20s, fit, originally from Australia and the Czech Republic and love adventure, exploring and back packing. I read a lot of reviews before planning our trip here expecting a tough hike, and packing as such, but found it nothing more than a easy walk down hill leading to rock caves next to a beautiful beach. If I knew how it would be I would have worn flip flops and a dress :)
We were staying on St Thomas and caught the Ferry over on a Sunday morning; it took about 90 minutes to get to Virgin Gorda, via Inter Island Boat Service. We decided to go on the Ferry instead of one of the charter boats because we wanted to spend more time there than just a 10 minute stop over and I'm so glad we did. On the Ferry we met a couple who had previously been on one of the charter boats and wanted to come back to spend the day exploring.
After getting off of the Ferry and going through British boarder security, you definitely need your passport, there were plenty of taxis waiting to bring you to the Baths, costs about $4/5 per person, for the 10 minute drive. The taxi drops you off at the top where there are some restaurants and shops, you have to pay a small fee to get to the Baths and then you go for a short 5 minute walk down a gentle slope to the water. There are bathroom facilities as well as showers and lockers available for hire and a shop selling food and souvenirs, we didn't eat there but from what I overheard from other people it was ok.
Exploring the Baths is incredible, enjoy your time. We must have been extremely lucky as we went on a Sunday and there was hardly anyone going through at the time we were there in the morning and then again in the early afternoon. You should definitely bring your camera as the Baths are something you will want to remember.
On the other side is Devils Bay and the snorkeling here is incredible, if you go exploring on either side of the bay between the rocks the amount and variety of sea life is just incredible. The rocks are huge and go deep into the clear water leaving great crevices. It was the best snorkeling we did on our whole trip to the virgin islands.
Things you will definitely need:
Passport, water, sunscreen, hat, snorkeling gear, swimmers and a camera.

Virgin Gorda Baths are so beautiful you'll want to go back! It involves some squeezing through and slippery climbing but nothing overly strenuous. The beach from the ocean entrance is one you'll never forget.
