My boyfriend and I just celebrated his birthday dinner here and it's still something we have brought up days after the trip. It was simply amazing! The ambiance is great too- romantic, relaxing and neat.

“Good but not great!”
Reviewed January 13, 2014

Giorgio was there and definitely added to a nice evening and the setting was super in the boulders. Unfortunately we didn't find the quality of the meal or the price to be as good! Two of our four fish dishes were over cooked. Our waitress, while trying, wasn't very polished and lacked personality to the point of us commenting on it. We really tried to pull it out of her as well. Then we got the bill. I think it was $160+ for 4 of us? My wife did love her spaghetti Tutamare. I don't mind spending that on a great meal but this wasn't a great meal. I would definitely rank it below Chez Bamboo, Sugarcane, and even Mine Shaft even without factoring in the price. Probably won't return on our next visit unless the reviews really improve. There aren't a lot of great restaurants on the island so I do hope Giorgio can put his touch on it going forward!

“Delicious!”
Reviewed January 12, 2014

The Rock Cafe is definitely at the excellent end of the BVI dining experience. We came fairly early (7 pm) and were seated in a great spot among the rocks, next to a waterfall. Our server listened well, and accomodated our requests for the pace of our meal. The Rock Spaghetti, which we shared, is an excellent dish, reminiscent of a carbonara sauce, made with crisp bacon, fresh peas and a deliciously spiced cream sauce. We shared a pizza as well, and though it was excellent, fresh and hand-thrown, we were too full to finish it. But we enjoyed drinking wine and listening to some very fine live music from Sam's Piano Bar. Club Ecstasy, which is above The Rock and Sam's, had not opened when we left, so i do not know if things got loud later. Our experience was excellent, with prices typical for the BVIs.

“Birthday celebration at the Rock Cafe”
Reviewed January 2, 2014

My husband and I were with a flotilla that spent the night in Spanish Town. Our flotilla captain arranged a group dinner for us at this restaurant to celebrate the end of our week with the flotilla and it also happened to be my birthday. We were seated outside among the boulders and water fall. Spectacular setting. We also took a look at the "Tree House" - a new dining room atop a long flight of stairs. Worth the climb. The view of Virgin Gorda is quite amazing from this dining room at the tree tops.
We shared a split lobster, seafood salad and flat bread appetizer. Best was the 'surprise' birthday cake they had prepared - wonderful - and served by a lovely staff.
Food in the BVI is expensive so when we had a really good experience as we did at the Rock Cafe the prices seemed reasonable. Also the waitstaff was very good. We would love to go back and do dinner in the Tree House.
