Giorgio's old restaurant closed down a while ago because a boulder fell on it. He reopened in a new spot above Rock Cafe. The atmosphere, food and wine selection were amazing! It ain't cheap, but worth every penny.

There is no bar here, so it is not the kind of place where you would go have a drink first then sit down. The inside is exposed brick on the walls with a finished hard wood panel ceiling.

We ordred a bottle of Austrailian wine suggested to us by the server which was an outstanding pick. Then an array of different appetizers that were presented flawlessly and tasted fantastic. The kitchen is an open and very clean kitchen so you can see everything they are doing. They use fresh ingredients and if Giorgio can't get the ingredients fresh, he won't serve it. The lobster ravioli was fantastic. The chocolate cake desert was also to die for.

We have just returned from spending Christmas 2009 on Virgin Gorda and wanted to experience the "new" Giorgio's since we had some of our best meals there a few years ago. Located at a new location near the main village of Spanish Town, it doesn't have the views or the romance of its previous location, but the food, wine list, service, and atmosphere were better than we had remembered. As usual, Giorgio; the perfectionist, was very attentive and the staff took his lead during the entire meal. We ate there twice during our stay and experienced some of the best food we have had in the entire Caribbean. This is not a restaurant for those seeking only "island food" or "Italian-American" cuisine. The food is innovative, inventive, and includes a number of surprises. An example would be the extraordinary duck prepared with 2 different mousses; an orange and a not-too-sweet chocolate.( It is a brave and confident man who would attempt to offer this on a menu for mostly seasonable trade.) Another favorite item was the Veal Filet with authentic risotto and a very subtle wine reduction sauce. Every single dish, including the care taken with the vegetables and the subtle sauces, was better than we could have imagined. The wine list, only Italian, was extraordinary and not particularly expensive considering the variety and the fact that a new, expensive, state-of-the-art wine room was added to the austere but elegant decor. Keeping wine safe in the tropics is a challenge. Because we have been to Italy more than a dozen times and have an extensive Italian wine cellar; we were impressed and familiar with the care that was taken with this great list of over 250 wines; including many sold by the glass. Suffice it to say, if you are a lover of extraordinary food and wine, this is one of the very few places to experience where "you-get-what-you-pay-for". " Expensive" is a relative term and even if you want to experience this great restaurant but spend less money, order a few appetizers that can be shared and have a good bottle of wine. We plan to return often when in the Virgin Islands. Bill and Michelle

I spent 2 weeks on the Virgin Islands and I had the opportunity of eating in different restaurants but wasn't impressed by none of them until I ended at Giorgio's.
The location of this restaurant is incredible, very romantic quiet and comfortable.
The service was simply perfect, all the waiters are very kind and always there for an immediate response to all your needs.
I had a lobster and it was great my wife had a filet of beef that was melting in her mouth, of course we have to understand that we are on an island far away from all the facilities and food suppliers that normally we find at home so of course the price was no cheap.
I think that Giorgio did a great job.

The food was a little better then mediocre. The service was excellent. However, the entire experience was ruined for us because of the pricing that the owner himself set for my meal. I ask for a vegetarian pasta dish. There was none on the menu other then appetizers but Giorgio suggested the chef could prepare pasta with tomatos and basil - which was fine by me. It was a smaller sized portion. It came with no sides or salad. Just for the pasta he charged me $42! Even the lobster tail was only $40.

We went to Giorgios in February of 2008 with great expectations based on reviews we had seen. What a major let down. Reads like a five star restaurant but only delivers like a 2 star. The location is extraordinary but that is where the excellence stops. Arrogance is king here. Incredibly expensive for what you get, or should I say for what you don't get. ( Over $800 for six of us without wine). What you get is very good service unless you complain about something that came out bad and then all bets are off. We had 4 dishes that came out tasting VERY fishy and definitely not fresh. They took them all back to the kitchen and replaced them with no hesitation which seemed normal until we found out later that we had been charged for the food we sent back as well as the replacement meals. $40 something for a plate of mushy, bland risotto and maybe 1 oz of lobster. I would go there for pizza and to enjoy the view but save my "fine dining" dollars for elsewhere. Long on promise, short on delivery. Mediocre food at best. 6 people dining and not one happy face when we left. Two very enthusiastic thumbs down for Giorgio's Table on Virgin Gorda, BVI!
