This has to be one of the most perfect settings on the planet; waterfront table, tropical hillsides all around, sailboats bobbing in the harbor and caribbean music in the background. We took the ferry from Gun Creek over to Bitter End for a sunset dinner which adds to the experience. The atmosphere is truly magical. Our table location literally out on the harbor was spectacular. Our wait person, however, did her best to dampen the atmosphere with a demeanor more suited to a Denny's. Complicated all-inclusive meal and salad bar packages took too much explanation and did not really fit the setting. I had the NY strip steak which was good, not great. Others in our party were also pleased but not enthused with the food. Overall... good food but not great food. The road in and out of Gun Creek is worthy of an amusement park ride. Drivers would do well to refrain from drinking.

The food just isn't that good here. If you're really hungry and there are no other options, it's fine, it's edible, but it's just not that good. We were staying at Little Dix Bay and mostly just wanted to visit this end of the island for fun. And it was fun to visit this end of the island, but I wish we would have had dinner elsewhere.

Visited twice by taking free ferry from VG north end to Bitter End. Variety of shops but significantly less than a year ago. Leverick Bay has the best array of shops on the island. Bitter End offers numerous types of watercraft activities.

We just stopped here for a couple of cocktails at the end of a long day of swimming. After 2 "Painkillers" I felt very merry indeed and warmly inclined towards this picturesque little spot. Would have liked to come back for dinner.

If you cant afford to stay at Bitter End at least go for the day. Take the small free ferry there and sign up for one of their snorkle trips which are very reasonable for non-guests. We go for lunch then take the three stop snorkel trip which is $25. Not a bad day in paradise!
