Owner description: Anegada or the "drowned island" is completely surrounded by shallow reefs, and has become the focal point of underwater diving due to the many historic shipwrecks that litter the island's underwater depths.

An adventure! Great winds and high seas. Saw dolphins along the way. Rented scooters for the day and spent time at Loblolly Bay and Cow Wreck point. Fun bars and restaurants at both.

Anegada is a half day sail or long boat ride from Tortolla (there is a ferry). The island is quite flat and boats often moor there overnight. It has beautiful white sand beaches but you would need to rent a car to get around the island

Spectacular island to sail to ~ turquoise blue waters, white beaches, spinney lobsters and gorgeous sunsets.

The sail from Virgin Gorda is really nice, with great perspective of all the islands in the BVI chain. The entrance to the harbor is a little tricky, but the protection is good due. To all the reefs.
Plenty of good restaurants, with fresh lobster, although it is inconvenient to place your order prior to 4 pm, as required by all restaurants.
We rented a car from SK, and it was reasonable and ok. We visited the beaches on the West and North ends. Both were beautiful. We also fly fished for bonefish with no luck, but the habitat looks perfect. There are flamingos in the large salt marshes.
If you are adventurous, go for it!

I have sailed to Anegada many times. Its a sleep little island unlike many of the area its flat , it has amazing empty beaches and lots of reefs to explore. There are few restaurants. A tiny airport if you plan to fly in. I think there is a ferry every now and aging from Tortola.
