Owner description: Anegada or the "drowned island" is completely surrounded by shallow reefs, and has become the focal point of underwater diving due to the many historic shipwrecks that litter the island's underwater depths.

Great to visit for a couple of days just to get away from the hurly burly of Tortola. So far unspoilt, but as British Virgin Islanders have a penchant for discarding trash, broken appliances and vehicles anywhere they wish without any concern that they degrading the environment, it won't be long.

Took a Dive BVI boat to Anegada for the day and spent the day at Loblolly beach. Great snorkeling (although a little rough out by the waves) and good food and drinks. fun day!

good beaches, several restaurants with fresh seafood to chose, small shops Purple Turtle. People come there never leave - very friendly. Not as difficult to approach in a sailboat as listed in the guides

If you want to see a pristine, quiet beach, this is the place. Don't expect much tho. Just one self-serve bar. The shuttle out there takes about 20-30 minutes on a dusty road but it is postcard-perfect.
