My diving group chartered the entire boat for a week (20 guests) in July 2017.

We charter a live-aboard dive boat every year. The Cuan Law charter was a unique experience with a motor sailing trimaran (instead of standard motor live-aboard boats). When under sail she is a beautiful sight and when under power very stable with the three hulls.

The crew was fantastic, helpful, service oriented, energetic and fun. Food was plentiful and very good. The diving was diverse among healthy coral and fish population and carefully chosen to avoid strong currents and swells.

I would recommend the Cuan Law without reservation. If a couple includes a diver and a non diver this is a great option too because she often anchors near islands offering swimming and snorkeling options.

The crew for Cuan Law are too good for words! To say they're accomodating wouldn't do them justice. They cooked amazing meals, made delicious drinks, and always had a smile and a fun story! They were a delight and by the end of the trip felt like the friends we were diving with.

Speaking of diving the 2 DMs were great under water and had many suggestions for sites. There was a day we had a few dives scheduled around an island and the first site was pretty poor vis for the Caribbean and so we pulled anchor and just went to another island. It was incredible to giant stride off the back of the boat onto ship wrecks and take the tender out under the moon light for a night dive.

When we weren't diving or eating we were lounging around the top or playing watersports. We were always given the opportunity to go ashore or kayak or tube or hobiecat. You really can't beat the experience!

The best part about this trip was the crew, they did a really good job with what they had to work with. Always friendly and helpful. As other reviews have stated this is not a dedicated dive boat but could use some updating to make it more conducive for divers. For instance more rinse buckets and especially for wetsuits. Better set up stations to get ready for diving would be very helpful. Trying to get in lots of divers took a very long time. We dove varied sites and really enjoyed those especially the Rhone. Schedule is very relaxed so really couldn't count on when meals or diving was being done. Rooms are spacious which was really nice, only downfall was air conditioning does not function well. Really warm in the rooms and the salon area. There were fans above the beds which helped during the night. Without those it would have been more miserable temperature wise. Food was average and not many choices. Most liveaboards provide at least two type of choices, like fish and chicken. Several nights were fish only and those who don't care for that went hungry. Many meals were also cold. Would be nice to have a cooked to order breakfast, with a couple of choices. Lastly the other water sports that are offered are totally worn out. Ski's had literally no boots left to keep on your feet and the ropes had no grips as they have been completely worn away. Owners of the boat really should update the water toys. All that being said we really had a nice time.

An overall excellent experience. The crew was very helpful and friendly, the food was amazing, the diving was laid back but still breathtaking, and the trimaran itself was very open and airy. I was with a dive group and it was nice not to have too much pressure to complete EVERY dive and get in some chill time on the hammocks instead. Would highly recommend!

Our family of 18 could not have had more fun! Thanks to the crew, wonderful, lasting memories were made during our week on the Cuan Law! The crew became part of our family and made us feel welcome from the moment we boarded. Chris was so patient teaching the new scuba divers and introducing them to this awesome sport. Travis was always willing to take the kids out for water sports, and was successful in getting a few up on skis and wake board! We loved the water uber to and from the island bars at night. Alayna, Jesse, and Ariel made sure we had drinks in hand all day, and Sue kept us happy with yummy meals. Lastly, Jamie made sure we had a full schedule to make the most of everyday in the BVI! The Cuan Law is the way to go to see the BVI!
