“Great handmade glass”

This is a small workshop, which is run by some local non profit organization. They use some recycle glass to make their nice little statues, plates, souvenirs etc. Real friendly people and You can watch close while they are working. Nice little stop from nearby beach...

After a day of hiking Sage Mountain Tortola BVI, our driver dropped us off behind Myett's in Cane Gardan Bay to meet our host. He suggested that we stopped by the thand blown glass studio. The glass is gorgeous and very reasonable!! There are some very unique pieces. Well worth the stop. Look for a tent behind Myett's.

“Cool side trip in Cane Garden Bay”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 28, 2013

So worth the stop! We're not much for souvenirs but we could not pass up the awesome glass pieces at this eco-friendly glass studio. Using all recycled glass from local restaurants and bars, Green VI produces gorgeous vases, sets of glasses, ornaments and more. Plus, this little studio is making a huge impact in terms of educating the youth of BVI about going green, training local artisans in the art of glass blowing and getting more environmentally-conscious legislation passed to keep the BVI as beautiful as they are today. If you stop by, try to sneak a peak at their office which is constructed out of over 600 Heineken bottles, be sure to say "hi" to Lion and if the juice lady is there, order a bottle of our sap juice. It's out of this world!

“Hidden Gem”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 22, 2013

We stumbled across this little studio outside of Cane Garden Bay and almost didn't stop. We are so glad we did! Beautiful glass creations and an opportunity to meet the artist and his students. Multiple options for gifts in all price ranges and you are supporting two worthy causes- recycling and building sustainable industry in a country that really needs it. Skip all the other touristy shops and buy here. Even if you don't buy anything, it is worth your time to speak with the artisans and watch them work.
A must see in my book.

“"Greening" the BVI”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 8, 2013

We stopped at the Studio during our provisioning stop in Cane Garden Bay during our early April sailing trip. A wonderful company doing fantastic, earth-friendly work. The items produced are beautiful and make great gifts. For those on sailing trips, save your all your bottles and glassware instead of throwing in the trash and make the short, five minute walk to the Studio to donate. A highly recommended stop. Seek them out on Facebook as well.
