While we were new to the BVI's, we are not new to bareboat chartering. We have chartered 6 times in the Pacific Northwest and just completed our BVI cruise using Virgin Traders.
We can report that it was an outstanding cruise and the customer service was excellent and surpassed anything we experienced in the Northwest. Since it was our 1st time in the BVI's we had many questions regarding transportation, itinerary, provisioning and received prompt replies with thorough information. Amanda & Latoya were wonderful and made the cruise as easy as one could expect. They make things happen and had foresight in handling our transportation back to the airport when we returned to Nanny Cay. They arranged for our provisions to be placed on board prior to our arrival and air conditioners worked wonderfully. They even made reservations at the fuel dock so that we could be on our way quickly. Our boat was the Virgin Vanquish and was in very good condition on the exterior and interior, recognizing that she is a partner-shared vessel. The 4 staterooms worked out well for our 4 adults and 2 grandchildren. Virgin Traders provides you with a local cell phone in case any questions or problems arise. On one of our days the winds were over 25 knots and they took the initiative to see how we were and concerned about protection from the rough seas. Fortunately we were already on a mooring ball in Norman Island. Our cruise was 8 days and we were able to visit all the planned islands - Jost Van Dyke to Virgin Gorda and Saba Rock. Virgin Gorda is a must for a couple of days. We definitely will use Virgin Traders on our next visit and hopefully in the not too distant future. Virgin Traders knows how to make chartering a simple and enjoyable task !
