Owner description: A lovely beach sweeping for half a mile, which provides a great place to swim, snorkel, sunbathe or just relax and watch the pelicans dive for fish.

The previous day I visited the famous Megan's Bay and Josiah's Bay just blew it away.
An old fashioned beach where you pull up and walk out with no charges for anything. Sit on the sand, sit in a chair, sit under an umbrella no fees.
Optionally if you want a drink or snack there is a cool little beach bar and the surf boards are $10 to $20 depending on one hour or the whole day. What a bargain to try and learn to surf

This was so laid back and relaxing with totally white sand, blue water & gorgeous. I had to try the surfing so the teenage son and I took turns. He took off like a pro and I sucked, but nobody paid any attention so I wasn't embarrassed at all to learn at age 50.

This is one place where the commercialism has not taken over and everyone is welcome.

We were the only ones on this beach besides the lifeguard, some chickens and the people working at the bar. Waves are rough but it's a gorgeous beach

Loved this beach. We went to the little bar and cafe just as you walk in on the left. The lady there prepared Roti's forus which were fantastic and a good value. Please don't complain about the time it takes to get food or drinks on the island. I was on holidays with another couple and we always say just relax and get out of the City/ Big Country mode and enjoy life on the island!

My partner and I visited Josiah's bay, and it was completely deserted. There was a straggly volleyball net and a restaurant that was empty as well. Not a good vibe. I'm sure it will be different in high season around Christmas time when the island has many more visitors and cruise ships coming.
