Owner description: A perfect getaway for a day, this charming, half-mile strip of soft white sand is isolated and rarely visited since it is accessible only by a small dirt road.

Beautiful spot.
Nobody told me water in front of hotel was full of large
rocks.
I went into the water and came out with 1 inch gash of the leg.
Lucky I didn't break it.
The only beach in the caribbean like this.

YOU MUST SEE THIS BEACH!!
My husband, son, mother and I took our first caribbean cruise and arrived in tortola. We love beaches and were told by travel advisors to visit Cane Garden Bay. So when we got off the ship we decided to rent a car and visit Cane Garden and then drive around the island. The car rental agent, however, suggested that we not go to Cane Garden because it would be very crowded. (There was another ship in port as well.) She suggested that we go to the other side of the island to Long Bay Beach. We decided to try her suggestion and we were not disappointed. Long Bay Beach was not easy to reach as we had to go down a dirt road to get to it. But it was WELL worth the trip. It is a long stretch of beach with soft powdery sand, crystal clear water and a picturesque view. Very romantic, serene and exactly what we wanted. When we arrived there were only a few locals there enjoying the beach. There are no water sport rentals, restrooms, or food vendors nearby, so if your looking for a lot of activity this is not the beach for you. But if you are looking for unspoiled beauty, go to Long Bay. We did visit Cane Garden after we (reluctantly) left Long Bay, but found it to be highly disappointing. It was very crowded, the water was murky looking and the restaurants were over run with people. We were so happy that we went to Long Bay first.
