Owner description: Centrally located on Tortola's north side, this is probably the busiest beach since its beauty is often compared to Magen's Bay on St. Thomas.

“Best Bar Beach combo on the island”
Reviewed May 7, 2014

We loved spending relaxing days on this beach. When a cruise ship is not in the beach is pretty empty. Snorkeling was good and there are several bars and places to eat on the beach. When a cruise ship is in - its not so crowded you can't get chairs, but you have to pay for them on cruise ship days.

“Love it here”
Reviewed May 4, 2014

Always try to stay in CGB for a few days each visit. This year we stayed right on the beach in a wonderful villa. Access to the restaurants, events and beach are all wonderful. CGB is probably the hottest harbor in the area but we never miss coming here. It's worth the heat to hang out, catch some of the tradewinds that keep the air manageable, and to take a relaxing swim, or dine out.

“Our favourite!”

Beautiful beach. Great restaurants and bars. Very laid back. Happy hour specials! The beach is calm. Water crystal clear. Get a drink, go waist deep into the water and enjoy!

“As gorgeous as you are imaging it is”
Reviewed April 30, 2014

We stayed in Cane Garden Bay as our "home base" for our first trip to the BVIs. The bay is absolutely breathtaking. Fantastic views of the sunset every night. As with a lot of places there, it does tend to get full of cruise ship passengers most days of the week between 10am and 4pm. Other than that it is quiet, relaxing and peaceful. There are a handful of restaurants and bars within walking distance of the main beach, but you have to take taxis everywhere else on the island. Walking around the islands is not an option because of how steep the hills are. Unless you are a very confident driver in extreme conditions, I don't recommend a rental. However, if you plan on traveling around the island a lot, it will get expensive in taxi fare.

“What you think about in the middle of winter”
Reviewed April 26, 2014 via mobile

Visited 4/20 from cruise ship.

We were the only ship in port, so wasn't crowded .

Beach simply idyllic. Calm , multi shaded blue and green water. Sit in sun or sit in shade. Walk in bare feet to local bar and have conch fritters or burger. Lots of rum punch and beer.

Saw lots of families.

Not overly developed.

Beach chairs $5, umbrella $3. Drinks $3, large rum punch $5

Sand beautiful. No rocks .

Would return in a heartbeat
