Owner description: Centrally located on Tortola's north side, this is probably the busiest beach since its beauty is often compared to Magen's Bay on St. Thomas.

We enjoyed spending a full day here (11AM to 9PM). We started at Myetts and used the beach chairs (If you are on a cruise ship you may have to pay for a beach chair, but they are free for those staying on the island). The beach is public techinically, but is packed with beach chairs out front of each of the restaurants that line it. We rented stand up paddle boards, and then when the cruise shippers were gone we had the beach nearly to ourselves and played Bocci ball. Then we enjoyed eating dinner at Quito's and watching him play guitar. Definitely worth a day of your vacation to go here.

We were one of those dreaded cruisers but opted for a taxi from outside the terminal which was a small mini bus. Our driver waited till he was quickly full so we were with a few other couples. Felt very safe and after being dropped - we agreed a pick up time which he returned as promised.

Beach lovely but cruisers do fill the beach but that does not spoil it. Beds are a few dollars from one of the beach front cafes but you have the use of their loos so seems fair.

We spent a couple nights at Cane Garden Bay enjoying the live entertainment at night, Quitos and Myetts were our favorites. We had the privilege of seeing Quito and MJ Blues. Check out Green VI Studio for some neat recycled glass souvenirs. We also enjoyed snorkeling over the sunken barge/boat. It's not far from shore, just beware of the diving pelicans!

We were on a 50' Cat and had planned on getting a mooring ball at Foxxy's Taboo on Yost van Dyke but all the mooring balls were taken. We headed across to Cane Garden bay and moored there. We jumped in the dingy and went ashore and just walked around. It reminded me a little of Hope Town in the Bahama's. Very small, quaint, and friendly. You do have to chain your dink there because the kids have a tendency to take yours for joy rides. We visited the Arundel Distillery there which is the oldest pot distillery in the Eastern Caribbean. There are several "Dirt floor bars" there and some just OK restaurants. We experienced one of the best sunsets ever there and a double rainbow the next morning. A great stay.

Cruise ship Azura berthed in Tortola in Caribbean, we took an open truck trip to cane garden bay beach it was lush, nice little beach bars who sell 6 beers in a bucket of ice, swimming in the bay is a experience you have pelicans diving in water all around you. Wow it was brill, will be there again in January can't wait. Cruising on the brill cruise ship Azura again...
