Dine in the terrace. Great views sitting in a 480 year old sugar mill. Food was in keeping with the surropundings.

The menu is diverse with several lobster dishes every night- weather permitting. And the steak (filet) was excellent and prepared perfectly to temperature.

This restaurant and hotel was severely damaged by Hurricane Irma in September, 2018. After many, many months and lots of hard work, The Sugar Mill reopened with a whole new feel! Open air walls, and the best Painkiller on the island!

Made a reservation two months in advance in order to try the lobster thermidor from the best restaurant on tortola. Arrived to find out they are out of lobster. Decided ok I'll try the scallops oh they dont have them either finally settled on curried conch which was delicious but was served on a chipped dish, I wouldnt care but this is supposed to be the best restaurant in the BVI according to their website. Dessert comes around oh what do you know they are out of the rum baba too.

Great atmosphere, chef is incredible staff is incredible but none of that matters if you dont have most of your menu avaible several hours before close. Come here early.

Had lunch at ‘Tramonti’ - loved the re-built restaurant, but there was barely anything for a vegetarian to eat. I think there was a wrap with melted cheese but I wasn’t in the mood for something so stodgy and fatty. Ended up having the Greek Salad - I asked for the regular size (Main), but ended up with a small. Was glad they made that mistake because it was the dullest Greek Salad I’ve ever had. The olive was sliced but it probably would have consisted of just one olive, and there were just four small cubes of feta (I counted them) which a bit of tasteless tomato, and not much else mixed in with the lettuce. Very disappointing.
I asked for a Bloody Mary too, and they couldn’t make me one of those either. The service was friendly but it was all quite slow. What a shame because it is in such beautiful surroundings, but won’t be returning until they make similar improvements to their menu. What’s wrong with a roti or a delicious and healthy beany/grainy salad?
