“Best snorkeling ever”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 20, 2013

You can read the history about this being where Blackbeard stashed his loot after he stranded most of his crew on another island, and how this was the setting for Robert Louis Stevenson's Treasure Island, but it was just a great snorkel in and around caves. Good sights, especially when you come around a bend and see the giant opening with vines hanging down...very surreal.

“One of two tops spots to snorkel”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 28, 2013

The Caves are lovely because much of the coral and fish life are located on the walls and not on the floor of the ocean. The walls are a good place for ocean critters because too many unedcuated snorkelers ruin coral by stepping on it, no coral no fish.

We found squid, lobsters, a huge variety of fish, sea cucumbers and the swimming into the large caves make you feel like a true adventurist.

The other spot to snorkel is "The Baths" if it is a calm day. If wavy forgot it and just trek through the pathway in the stones

“Great Snorkeling”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 11, 2013

1 hour was not enough. I saw an octopus and huge variety of fish. The caves were so fun to go in....not scary. Just loved snorkeling there.

“Nice for snorkeling”

Had the opportunity to be there a couple of times, is unique because you can snorkel in the shadow, but with enough clarity, no flashlight needed.

“Nice snorkeling, but...”

Ok ... Definitely stop here if you have the time. The Caves are nice with a decent variety of fish life. However, if you have to choose between this stop or the Indians, then I found the Indians to be more interesting with many more fish.
