Spending two weeks sailing round the British Virgin Islands had many highlights, but definitely one of the best was the few times we stopped at Manchioneel Bay. Not only is this picturesque bay an easy place to get to and moor up, but with a good beach, excellend beach club bar and restaurant but also good snorkelling. One of our favorite places to go to and a real recommendation for anyone sailing in the area.
The bar has indoor and outdoor seating and its regular happy hour is a must for all those visiting. Staff are really friendly and happy to help and oblige. The Restaurant also provides good food and fair prices, with local specialities to tempt you on shore to eat. There is also a great shop just off the beach for souvenirs and the MUST cooper island t-shirt for those friends and family you left behind.
There is mooring for a good number of boats, but not too many, so it never gets too busy - another plus if you are looking for that tranquil night stopover.
It is worth getting there early, I would suggest lunchtime and then take it easy on the beach. They even have some bar tables in the sea, what better way to enjoy a Painkiller or that local beer.
There are many places in this wonderful part of the Carribbean but I would recommend that it is a must to include this gem!
