“Authentic Pizzaiola”
Reviewed May 9, 2014

Simply the best pizza and pasta outside of Naples! Vincenzo crafted the wood stove and puts his soul into the food he creates. You literally feel happier after eating everything he touches!

I recommend starting off with an arugula salad followed by a pasta dish and share a pizza with your friends and loved ones...might sound like a lot of food but considering how clean and simple the ingredients and light the crust it really won't weight you down.

Our new favorite go to when we are on the island!

“Al dente”

Truly authentic Italian. Wood burning stove makes an excellent pizza and all meats are imported from Italy. Owner is genuine and from Salermo, Italy.

“Great Italian”
Reviewed April 21, 2014

This is a great little italian restaurant that has only been open for a short time. After all the wonderful french meals, we were searching for pizza one night and just happened upon this. Real pizza from a wood burning oven. Excellent fresh tomato sauce. It was all delicious. Pasta's cooked perfectly. Service was charming and owner came and treated us to the best tiramisu we've had in a restaurant and along with some champagne. Would have gone back had this not been at the end of our trip. Absolutely worth going to for a relaxing, fun evening.

“Wood Burning Pizza - None better on SXM”
Reviewed April 13, 2014

Awesome wood-burning pizza - so happy to find it. Pizza on SXM isn't generally great but its often a needed break from all the French and French-ified food. I drove by and spotted this place, with the wood-burning oven right out front. I stopped by later for 5 various pies for my family. They were excellent - kids and adults loved it all. Thin crust with fresh ingredients. Nice owner too - originally from Italy but had pizza places in New York (built the oven himself!).

Usefully has parking in the back (parking can be a pain in GC). Happy to have this place - looking forward to going back.

“The best Italian food we had in the Caribbean”
Reviewed April 6, 2014

If you are searching for authentic Italian food look no further. The Aglio e Olio has great food that tastes just like in Italy. Ingredients are fresh and you can see how your pizza is made in the wood oven in which the thin dough becomes deliciously brown and crunchy. The owner of the place is actually Italian and also very friendly and welcoming which can generally be said about the restaurant staff. It is also one of the places you can go to if you want a very good dinner and don't want to spend a fortune on it. Somehow, most places in Grand Case seem to offer either very expensive food or they are cheap and basic - so this place is somewhere in the middle.
