We recently came back from St. Maarten on 2/12/2013, way too short of a trip! We came across Bubble Shop while walking along Orient Bay beach and happen to speak with Vincent who owns the shop with his wife. We set up a snorkeling trip for the following day but also wanted to go to St. Bart's for a day and were going to take the public ferry. Although Bubble Shop doesn't provide transportation to St. Bart's Vincent recommended reserving a spot on a catamaran. On the catamaran they provide food, drinks and fun and would have made the trip to St. Bart's memorable since there is not a lot to do on the island. Vincent went out of his way to try and locate a catamaran for us but unfortunately it was too short of notice and we couldn't go.
But we did set up the snorkeling trip with Vincent and met him the next day. The trip over to the sea park was quick and Vincent and his worker were pleasant and full of information. The moment we got into the water we saw a sting ray and a number of tropical fishes. It was just the right amount of time to spend in the water, a little over an hour. On the ride back I tried a little of the islands home made rum infused with ginger that Vincent shared, very tasty! When we go back we'll plan on doing more water sports with the Bubble Shop! When in St. Maarten make it a point to visit his shop on the beach, French side Orient Bay by Cocoa Beach shop.
