“Le Tastevin - One of many wonderful french restaurants in Grand Case”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 20, 2014

A soup to nuts place. Starting with an Amuse Bouche. Great beach front location. Reservations preferred. Service is great, food is great, wine is great. We had the White Asparagus with a Tarragon Wine Butter Cream sauce for our appetizer. WOOOO, The bread is homemade. We had the cod with coconut milk tomato and fresh herb sauce.

Great wine list, we had a bottle of Sancierre.

Like we said, one of many wonderful restaurants in Grand Case. Worth eating at.

“great food with outstanding setting”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 20, 2014

The food, all fish, for the 4 of us was excellent. The dessert was great. The wine choices were very good. The setting was great. It sits right on the beach so you can watch the dock and the boats while you eat. Only a few restaurants in Grand Case are fortunate to have such a setting

“More traditional French food....”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 15, 2014

We did not try this place on our last visit to St Martin five years ago and I regret it. The restaurant is lovely and the food was really very very good. Not as creative as some of the other restaurants, more traditional - but let's face it - creativity can sometimes backfire, whereas here the food was really lovely, well cooked, well presented and well served by competent waiting staff. We liked it so much we booked it a second time for our last night there.

“Delicious Dinner with an Amazing setting”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 9, 2014

We arrived with a group of 10 for dinner and we were quickly accommodated. The ambiance was very peaceful and relaxed with an amazing view of the marina & sea. The food was delicious, I had the French Onion soup (very authentic and tasty) and the Duck Breast with poached pear - it was outstanding! The service was impeccable and they even split our bills by couple. We went to this place based on a recommendation and we were very pleased! Will return on my next visit to St. Maarten!

“Great lunch”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 5, 2014

Went to Le Tastevin for lunch after visiting Marigot and its market. Had a very nice meal in a great setting. The view from our table was worthy of a painting. I had a crab tartare which was served with an avocado mousse and cheese, awesome. My wife and my son chose salads which were on the daily lunch menu and they looked and tasted great. Next time we'll be in Grand Case, I'll make sure we come for dinner. It was also highly recommended by the staff at Grand Case Beach Club.
