We have been going to Le Tastevin every year for the last 20 years. This year was oustanding. Now that Fois Gras (with a fig glaze) is outlawed in Califiornia; I order it and it was excellent. The rack of lamb very good but the filet steak was the best that I have had for years. I asked where did the steak come from? To my surprise I was told it came from USA. It apparently is export quality! The lamb which was very tender was imported from Aspen. The desserst were also very good. The service was as we expected even with a full restaurant. I did take my own wine because usually the big red Cabs are too young. So we had Del Dotto 877; 2005 from Napa which was also excellent. No corkage fee; but I always leave our waiter a glass for later.
