“If you like snotty French service--then go!”
Reviewed January 6, 2011

Club scene? Trendy food? Mojitos with cheap rum? We were psyched to visit on Mojito Monday as a street barker informed us of Mojito specials on Mondays at 7. We arrive shortly after 7--apparently during a staff meeting/dinner. We are Grand Case regulars--and have NEVER had such "French-ness". Our bar tab even said "Americans at the bar" REALLY! They did, however, take out American dollars! This place is sleazy and rude--if that's what you are into--you'll be happy! There are plenty of options in Grand Case and I would recommend ALL of them over Le Shore!

“Great food, great service, best venue in St.Martin for a wedding.”
Reviewed December 30, 2010

I am a long time resident of St. Maarten and I had the pleasure of planning my son's wedding this past November here on the island. Luckily for everyone that was able to attend, I chose Le Shore for the venue for the wedding reception. It could not have been better. The food was outstanding. The service was warm and hospitable. The owners, management and staff went out of their way to ensure that the evening was an unforgettable experience. The ambiance is absolutely perfect for a wedding with semi-private area for dining, a dance floor and a small bar available for private functions. Since then I also had the recent pleasure of dining once again at Le Shore for Christmas Dinner. Once again the food was outstanding. Compliments to the chef. Do not miss the opportunity to dine in this beautiful restaurant.

“O.K. Food, neat atmosphere, but there are better places”
Reviewed August 2, 2010

I agree with the previous reviewer in that this place does seem to have an identity crisis. We went from orient bay to Grand Case in the rain because there was supposed to be entertainment at 8pm that night, but because there was such a small turn out (1 to three tables and a few people at the bar) they had no entertainment. The food and service are actually o.k. and the atmosphere is nice, but later at about 9pm they were playing a mix of 80's, 90's, and contemporary Rap/R&B which was o.k. with us, but I think other diners may have felt it was too much. I think I may have liked this place if they didn't disappoint us (w/o apology) in regards to the promised entertainment.

This place could improve, but I feel currently I would rather go to Rainbow cafe (at the other end of Grand Case Blvd) or Drive to Orient Bay and go to Cote Plage on their Cabaret night (for a dinner show that actually comes through).

“Identity crisis!”
Reviewed July 16, 2010

During our last two visits to the island we had a chance to have dinner in nearly all the restaurants in Grand Case.
Some restaurants which we found very good back in 2008 were very poorly when we last visited in june of this year. We found out that many restaurants change their chefs nearly every year.
The restaurants where the quality of the food and service stay constant are those where the owners are the chef and waitress in the restaurant.

This is a new restaurant. According to us it has an identity crisis.
It has a bar and disco lights. A very trendy look. So more for young people.
But then again it has a restaurant (where you can 'enjoy' the disco lights) where the food is rather pricy and the look and feel is like a prestigious restaurant. More for older people who are accustomed to luxury.
The waitresses are young with very short skirts. They are more at place in the bar/disco environment then in the restaurant. In our case they placed our dirty knife and fork we used during our starters back on the table for us to use them during our main course. The food was mediocre at best.
You can skip this one. Keep your money in your pocket and spend it elsewhere.
