This was one of our favorites if not our favorite. There were eight of us and everyone had a great meal. Highly recommend the French Onion Soup. Lobster was also very good. Service was exceptional. Desserts were good but not great.

To say this restaurant is amazing would be an understatement!
Travelling to St Maarten for the first time we researched different restaurants and planned out 4 out of 7 nights we would be there. Sadly we came to Bistrot Caraibes on our 5th night - I guess we saved the best for last! We were blown away by this place. The staff, the location/décor... you immediately felt a warm welcome. The food! Oh my goodness the food... everything was nothing short of perfection! We enjoyed it so much we had to go back before heading home and we were just as blown away the second time around.

If or when we go back I can promise you we will be eating here at least 4 out of 7 nights!!!

This restaurant was recommended to us by a hometown restaurateur/chef, so we had to try it. This French eatery is owned by 2 brothers who were both onsite, and very hospitable. We were a group of 8, and we all tried different items. We ordered a very nice Bordeaux, and a white wine was ordered by other diners. I was not too hungry, so I ordered the french onion soup (quite delicious), and the mushroom risotto (also very nice). Others had lamb chops with mashed potatoes, steak, fish, and pasta. The sauces served with the lamb chops and the steak were reduced, rich, and marvelous! They served us a rum drink after the meal which was very nice. All places in this part of the world have their own after dinner rum drinks, and they are all very nice!

Overpriced. Meal wasn't great. Would not recommend it. Our appetizer was delicious (crab eggplant). That's about it.

Simply a wonderful evening. Our apps--snails in mushroom cream sauce and eggplant/crab stack were both outstanding, as were our main courses, sea bass and sea scallops.
