We spent all day at the Grande Case Beach, waiting for the last Carnival street party and we overheard a lady making a recommendation for the Bistrot Caraibes restaurant. After looking at a bunch of menus, we decided on the Bistrot Caraibes for dinner. We were a little under dressed, but the staff didn't mind and we had a fantastic dinner and outstanding service. We started out with an escargot in creamy mushroom sauce appetizer - to die for, accompanied by 2 glasses of white wine and their house champagne (we were thirsty!). For the main dishes my wife had the beef tenderloin which was cooked to perfection; I had the Veal scallopini which was fantastic. We were too full for dessert, but as a finale, we got served 2 small glasses of a liquor similar to rum jumbie, which was excellent. Highly, highly recommend this place. We will be back!!! The atmosphere here is beautiful - the old building has been decorated to perfection - very modern yet still a bit of old world flavor - well done! The food was good - we ordered the duck and the Special shrimp over pasta - really delicious - the caesar salad was a bit disappointing (mushy lettuce) but the special salad (endive) my husband ordered was wonderful - very good value for the money and they also send over several shots of their "homemade" rum - oh boy!!!! (on the house)

Made reservations for 7pm on a Tuesday during Grand Case's Street Party. Thibault (owner) gave us a beautiful table so we could not only enjoy our dinner but watch the activity on the street. The atmosphere is wonderful and the food excellent. I had the beef tenderloin that was cooked to perfection. Thibault waited on us; he was attentive without being overly attentive. They have a lobster tank out front where many patrons chose their evening cuisine. Our dinner was finished off with a complimentary "shot" of their own dessert rum. When we are back on the island we will visit again. I highly recommend this restaurant.

Wow! Owners Thibault and Amaury have a great thing going here. We rented a condo from them on Orient Beach, and arrived at the restaurant to pick up the key where we were greeted by Thibault. He was charming and very helpful and made our introduction to St Martin very positive. We had dinner on a Thursday night, just emailed him for a reservation. The food was amazing. My husband had the veal, which he raved over. I had the duck, which was incredible...probably the best duck I have had in 20 years. For dessert we shared a chocolate cake that was divine. Their house rum is a lovley spiced ginger and was a nice ending to the meal. The service was friendly and knowledgeable. We will definitely be back on our next trip. Highly recommend!

This is a wonderful place we come every year and visit it 2-3 times a week. The lobster thermidor and veal scallopini is one of our favorites but you won't be disappointed on anything you choose!
Thibault and Amaury and his staff..Nadia...are very attentive and friendly to all their customers! YOU MUST TRY!!
