My wife and I have spent 6 days at Le Petit Hotel and were totally overwhelmed by the excellent location, service and rooms. Rémy and Yamina are wonderful hosts. At Christmas day they brought us a bottle of champagne and an apple pie that Yamina had baked herself. Anne Laure was a great help in organizing our wonderful trip to Saba and in making reservations in restaurants: elegant and flawless. It is a small hotel at the sea front with only six rooms. Rémy and Yamina live next door and are available to help you whenever you need anything. Of course there is no gym and no pool (the sea is quite a pool) and no bar and a self service breakfast French style which means pastries and fruit and yoghurt, but no bacon and eggs, but that was clear to us when we booked and this is the style that we like when we are not on a business trip. Within these boundaries the hotel is near perfect. Maybe a mosquito net would be a good addition, but otherwise I would not know how to improve.

We have been coming here for years and the experience has always been the same...excellent. The bathrooms have recently been redone very nicely and the morning coffee and pastries are even better than before.
This is a place to relax and take in the best cuisine in St. Martin...if not the Caribbean.
The staff is fantastic as usual.

Room Tip: Take one of the two rooms on the ground floor. They are huge and have their own patio. You are jus...

Wonderful hosts, Rémy and Yamina, along with Anna, provided all the local knowledge we needed for fine dining, the lolos for excellent local cuisine, shopping and more. Top notch restaurants are walking distance via street or beach. With their recommendations, we found stores, markets, and many interesting locales all over the island St. Martin/St. Maarten. We snorkeled in 2 great places, swam and kayaked in front of the charming boutique hotel, but no matter what we did, it was pure joy to withdraw to the peace and quiet of our private little stretch of delicious sand on the Caribbean, to our private balcony overlooking the bay of Grand Case, or to the perfectly equipped studio kitchenette and king size room where we could dine in, either putting together fresh salads and fruits or with takeout of exquisite local sea food. Fine French linens, a very modern tiled bath, and attention to detail made this our best ever place to stay. The breakfast and coffee with French pastries and fresh fruits was over the top fabulous. The Warm, friendly housekeepers do an impeccable job of making sand disappear, no easy task for beach lovers like us. We felt like others who said they arrived strangers and left feeling they were best friends. This was the ideal place for us because we loved the sea, as well as the French language and Caribbean culture, while staying at eco-friendly Le Petit Hôtel. It was our first trip to the Caribbean, and I hope to go back to this particular piece of paradise!

This delightful, beach front hotel has been our 'home' for almost 2 weeks, located in Grand Case, the gourmet capital of this island. Some hotels say they are on the beach but in fact, are near the beach. Well this hotel is truly ON THE BEACH!! A wonderful quiet section of a long beach, that allows you to walk down to over 25 different restaurants, many also right on the beach.
They have beach chairs ready, 2 single kayaks and a double kayak for use by guests.
The rooms are immaculate. Very tastefully decorated, with a pristine kitchen / dining area. Rainfall shower heads in the contemporary bathrooms.
There seems to always be a lovely breeze blowing. Balconies overlook the beach, with comfy chairs for reading and a table with chairs to enjoy your morning coffee.
Each morning, fresh baked goods, fruit, juices, etc are available in the open lobby area from 8 - 10am. The reception area has a nice selection of books for reading and some DVDs for viewing on the DVD player in your room.
The hosts are delightful and eager to help. The housekeepers do a beautiful job at keeping every room spotless.
We did not rent a car and spent most of our time just enjoying Grand Case. Walking mostly everywhere (be careful on the street as there is limited sidewalk - we used our iPhone flashlight at night to at least let cars know we were on the road).
Free wifi throughout the hotel for those that need to stay connected.
The rooms are very quiet, only occasionally hearing any road noise. Mostly, just the rhythmic crashing of waves on the beach and the breeze blowing thru the palm and sea grape trees.
We loved our stay and wouldn't hesitate to come back.

We stayed here for 4 night and they were great. The hotel is small with 10 rooms which makes it relaxed and intimate. We received the warmest welcome we have ever experienced which was followed by personalized care throughout our stay (Remy, the manager is a great guy and made us feel at home).
The room was clean and airy with a well-designed bathroom. There was everything that you could need..except slippers :) (this is simply a suggestion to the hotel).
Now, the value for money was not fantastic. You pay for the location which was absolutely perfect on the beach side as the hotel is almost in the water. However, unfortunately on the other side of this small building lies the main road with trucks, scooters etc which roar by most of the morning, day and evening. The hotel really could try to "hide" and shelter from the main road (example, natural fence such as palm trees, hedge, etc..). This was definitely the main downside which did not allow us to really escape from reality.
Breakfast itself was great, however it is served in front of the reception next to the main road and you have to carry it up to your room which is not always easy after/during a torrential rain since there is no roof above the staircase. We would expect a hotel of such standard to improve on this aspect.
All the rooms are sea-front which is spectacular so any room is an excellent choice.

After studying St Martin and it's many options for varied locales, we decided that Grand Case suited our tastes and that Le Petit offered a unique beach location. Soooo glad we did. 3 floors. 10 rooms. Warmth charm and fabulous decor. The hosts greeted us by name in the parking lot and wisked out bags up to our studio. Perfectly equipped kitchenette and luxurious bath surround a comfy bed and entertained center. The wireless interest worked flawlessly and in the mornings? French pastries, juice, fruits and coffee. I now understand the loyalty factor and why people return here time after time. And so close to the restaurants of Grand Case! Heaven.

My husband and I recently stayed here for 2 nights after a 7 night sailing trip around the island and my only regret is that we didn't book a few more nights at this lovely hotel. The owners and employees were very welcoming and accommodating and truly want their guests to have everything they need during their stay - they made us feel very welcome! Our room was amazing. We were on the second floor (room #4) and our view was perfect, our room was spotless and well equipped with everything you could possibly need. The complimentary breakfast was fabulous each morning and we really enjoyed how we could take it to our room to enjoy from our lovely balcony. I read reviews prior to booking and heard different things about a bad neighborhood, crime, etc. and my husband and I didn't have any trouble at all. We have travelled to the Caribbean many times and if you are cautious and aware of your surrounding and aren't "flashy", no one bothers you. I felt 100% safe at this hotel at all times. The location is excellent too because you are in walking distance to some amazing restaurants nearby. There were some local residences mixed throughout the hotels and restaurants that looked a bit run down but again, just use common sense - don't wear flashy jewelry and carry a huge purse or stupid things to draw attention to yourself and you will be fine. Actually if you just smile and say hello to people, they will return the same smile. I cannot wait to someday return to this hotel. It was perfect!

Room Tip: each room faces the ocean and I am sure they are all amazing. 1st floor is on the beach, 2nd floor h...
