“Beautiful setting, but that's it”
Reviewed March 24, 2014

If you want to pay a lot of money for a beautiful setting and be served by the rude, snobbish French staff then by all means go. Expect to pay well over $100 for 2 entrees, 1 salad and 1 bottle of water. Water is $10. A normal, unspectacular salad is almost $20. The food is good, but not memorable. If you do not order multiple bottles of water, or the daily drink special, or an overly priced bottle of wine, then you will be snubbed and generally ignored by the wait staff. Being a French restaurant, smoking is allowed in the dining area, so be prepared to sit next to a table of guests smoking cigarettes to further enhance your experience. If you want a French restaurant, go to Ti Bouchon down the street, where you will be welcomed with open arms by its French owner. He understands that his restaurant is there to please the customer, not the other way around

“Beautiful restaurant!”
Reviewed March 12, 2014

We went there on the recommendation of some folks we met earlier on the trip and it ended up being one of our favorite places. In addition to the oustanding food, this has to be one of the most beautiful restaurants I have ever eaten in. Everything was perfect. Service was excellent and loved the vanilla rum at the end. I had the filet (cooked perfectly and so tender) and my friend had the snapper (fish of the evening) and it was delicious as well. Will definitely be going back.

“A short drive from Grand Case, but well worth it.”
Reviewed March 5, 2014 via mobile

This restaurant is off the beaten path, but well worth the drive. The food is absolutely top tier, and we had the best bottle of wine we've ever had in St. Martin there (a 1998 Chevalier Montrachet).

The setting is quiet and relaxed, the staff attentive and friendly, and the food was excellent. Our main server, Sophie was always there at the very moment we needed her, like she had ESP. I had the best steak ever on St. Martin (a filet mignon) with wonderful mashed potatoes. My wife had a seafood shell pasta that was tremendous.

We're glad we finally found Sol e Luna. Next trip we'll go twice.

“Beautiful family style restaurant”
Reviewed February 27, 2014

My husband and I visited this place while in St. Martin. It was difficult to find the first time, but worth the effort. The food was good, and we were spoild with additional drinks by the host. The verrandah style main room is spacious and private. Definitely check this place out.
