If you are looking for a quiet spot on a beach that is just a short walk away from all the best places to dine then Grand Case and the Bleu Emeraude are for you. If you prefer to dine in you will find everything you need in your room as well as the best market (on the island) just a short drive away. Having not traveled to the island before I wasnt sure what we were looking for but after discovering Grand Case and the Bleu Emeraude I am certain that we found it.

Loved staying here! I went with 3 friends and it was fantastic waking up to the clear blue waters and making myself coffee in their nespresso machine, as well as making our own meals in the kitchen. The room had everything we needed! Also you are right on the road to catch the bus down to Marigot for a trip to St. Bart's or a quick walk up the beach to Grand Case for a fabulous meal at the local lolo's. Also everyone at the hotel was helpful and lovely! Highly recommend if you want a different experience from a big hotel...a big more secluded and mellow for sure...

My husband and me had decided to discover Saint Marteen for the beautiful beaches this lovely island can offer, and to get some rest.
We have decided to go in this lovely hotel Bleu Emeraude, just previously discovered thanks to the web site (--) ; It seemed to propose all the confort, decorating and space we expected for the hotel located on the beach of Grand Case at Saint Marteen.
We have not been disappointed, the view from our room was just magnificent, because Grand case in a very lovely beach, with no crowd of people!
The hotel was quiet, brand new and comfortable. The team was friendly too, and we had a great time there!
We spent 8 lovely nights there and had a very nice time...

Okay, now I want to be as subjective as I can.

We stayed there from April 5th to April 9th, 2009.

We originally booked a Studio Suite which is capable of handling 4 people (it has a king size bed and a sofa bed.

However, Gisele required that we change our reservation to a one-bedroom suite which is capable of 4 people as well and more expensive to handle our 2 (22 month old children) who slept in the cribs provided anyways.

For whatever reason i have no idea, but if we didn't change it then we would of not been able to stay there.

I will say that this is a great location for people who want to be close to the Gourmet Food of Grand Case.

Grand Case is known for its food not its beach.

As well, there is constant traffic noise right out in front of the condo.

Our bedroom faced the road, but the views from the patio (which doesn't go directly to the beach) you have to walk around and into the hallway to get outside.

Cons:

We had no phone, no internet, only 3 English Speaking Channels (ESPN, CNN & Disney Channel the whole time)

(There are no phones anywhere to make say dinner reservations or horseback riding reservations.

There are no alarm clocks in any of the rooms, there is no internet service yet.

They are supposedly working on this as we speak.

Gisele and Xavier are only there spoardically. We saw Gisele twice in the 4 days we were there and Xavier for about 2 mins one morning.

If there is ever a problem afterwards what are you supposed to do?

The rates are lower right now from what they will be soon, (we paid $190 a night plus 5% tax) but these same rooms will be $280 soon.

The condo is about a 35 minute ride from the airport (Dutch Side) & 5 mins to the (French Side) airport.

Marigot is about 10 to 15 mins, nearest gas station and ATM is less than a mile away

Grand Case is better to either walk the beach or walk the road (no sidewalks).

All and all we enjoyed ourselves but if we had no of the other things, we probably wouldn't have stayed here.

This sleek residence is located on the southern end of Grand Case beach, about a 5 minute walk to the main restaurant area. We had a studio apartment on the ground floor that provided us with absolutely incredible views of the Caribbean Sea from our patio.

Our room was very modern and clean. One of our favorite features (besides the patio) was the full kitchen with a selection of sparkling, red, and white wine glasses. Now that is attention to detail. Our studio room was equipped with a sofa bed, but we never bothered converting our bed back into a sofa as we spent most of our time on the patio.

Beach towels were provided, and there was off street parking available… very nice considering the narrow roads and sidewalk parking in most of Grand Case. In the near future they should have underground parking which will help keep a car cool in the tropical sun. We loved the beach access from our room and it was very quiet at night.

The only downside to the room was the sheer curtains. They offered very little in the way of privacy from the beach and did absolutely nothing to block the sunlight that streamed in at 6am.

Xavier, the owner, was very nice, but not around much, and the receptionist was only sporadically seen. I don’t know who we would have contacted if we had a problem, but thankfully it never became an issue. Presumably this is being worked out as they weren't fully open yet.

I would recommend this hotel to anyone staying in Grand Case.

Bleu Emeraude Residence is a brand new property on Grand Case Beach. It consists of studios, one bedroom & two bedroom apartments. It is SO new, that we initially could not find it, since the sign was not up yet. But we pulled in front of what we thought was the building, based on its location next to Pavillion Beach, and Xavier emerged from his SUV, waiting to greet us. He apologized for the front not being finished, & guided us in. The glass front door was accessed with a magnetic key fob. Xavier again apologized that the studio we reserved was not quite finished, so he upgraded us to a one bedroom. No objection from us! We walked up to the first floor & entered a stunning apartment, all done in white & beige, with accents of blue throughout to match the sea. To compensate us for any inconvenience for the property not being entirely finished yet, (although our apartment was completely done), Xavier had stocked the fridge with water, soda & Heineken, arranged to bring us breakfast in the morning, and gave us the feeling that our wish was his command. Extremely sweet, pleasant & accommodating. We settled in, and enjoyed a dinner of roasted chicken, potatoes au gratin, green beans we picked up from the French deli up the road (“Bounty”) with a bottle of wine. It immediately felt like home. Since it was already dark out, we could not yet see what we knew was a fabulous view from the huge terrace off the living room, but we kept the doors open to hear the music of the waves. The doors could be left partially open without worry of bugs flying in since the floor to ceiling sheer white drapes could be left closed & act as a mosquito screen. A stylish & attractive alternative to a screen door! When privacy &/or additional security was desired, there was a button on the wall which activated security shutters. These same shutters were also in the bedroom, which had a terrace over the street. They actually shut out all sounds of traffic from the street & provided complete quiet. Now the kitchen……..it was amazing. Although we didn’t cook, it was fully equipped with top of the line French appliances & cooking utensils, all BRAND new. Everything was spotless. The microwave was also a grill & a convection oven. There was even an expresso machine, complete with coffee, expresso cups & dessert saucers. There was plentiful stemware in several sizes, for wine, water, etc. We inquired about a regular coffee machine, & Xavier had housekeeping bring us a brand new drip machine, filters & a pound of Italian coffee. There was even a washing machine in the kitchen, which may have also been a dryer as well (everything was in French) which we had no need for in our short stay. The bathroom was spacious, with a walk in open shower big enough for 4 people with a stone floor & beautiful tile work. Double sinks, large counter & thirsty white towels. The modern, platform bed was very comfortable. The next day, we were up early, eager to see that view, although the bedroom was pitch black due to the privacy shutters. Xavier presented us with fresh coffee, croissants, & freshly squeezed orange juice. We enjoyed breakfast on the huge, beautifully tiled terrace in spacious new white mesh loungers. Grand Case Beach Club was clearly visible across the way, and Anguilla stretched across the horizon. To our left, a private residence, then a restaurant which was closed, and shortly after that was Petit Hotel. Note that our place had much more sandy beach than Petit, which was built closer to the water. To our right, Pavillion Beach hotel. Xavier provided lounge chairs & beach towels for us on the beach. Before stepping down to the sand, there is a private, raised sandy area across the width of the property with new baby plantings of sea grapes, palm trees & several other things. There is decking & an outdoor shower right before the steps to the beach. The steps were being tiled our first day there, a minor inconvenience, as we could not walk on them for a couple of hours. We later found out we were the second guests of the property, and the fact that it so new & pristine was well worth any inconvenience. All in all, a superb and highly recommended property, immaculate, great stretch of beach, close to the restaurants, walking distance to town. This place has the potential to be the TOP property on Grand Case Beach. Loved it!
