This restaurant is probably often overlooked, as it is tiny and "cute" rather than sophisticated in appearance like its closest neighbour, Le Pressoir. Do not be deceived: Carl creates some of the best, most beautifullly presented food in Grand Case, with an emphasis on classic interpretation of local ingredients and creole style. He has recently improved his wine list, as well, so one is not restricted to rum cocktails and beer (though they are fine, too.) I had amazing snapper, cooked in a lemon butter sauce, but you really cannot go wrong here. The dessert menu is small but first class, and you will be presented with a shot of local rum at the end of the meal in the best Grand Case tradition. Service is very gracious and friendly - but slow, because it is a very small staff. PLEASE make a visit - you will not be disappointed.
