This was by far our most expensive meal on the island. But save up, it's worth every bit. The decor is not cheesy. It's very sophisticated for an island. The tablecloths are so silky smooth that I asked the waiter about them. The wife buys them from her country. The service is perfect. The staff is friendly and knowlegeable. Great spot. Highly recommend.

Great setting overlooking the Caribbean. Excellent, friendly service. Delicious food (we ordered the lobster and shrimp special). A little pricey ($90 for two without drinks), but this was a special experience that was worth it.

My wife and I just returned from a ten day trip to St. Martin and Anguilla. This was by far our best meal on the trip. It was also the most expensive. The French Haute cuisine was wonderful. I highly recommend the Foie Gras appetizer. It was perfectly cooked and melted on your tongue like fine french butter. My wife's lobster was perfect with a light summery Creole relish. The "Wine Waiter" was spot on with his recommendations. The only negatives were: My entree was Veal sweetbreads, and they were slightly overcooked, which made them a little tough and a little liverrey,(I know that's not really a word) and of course the price. We paid 155.00 euros plus tip for two people. However if you want to splurge a little or love french food, L' Escapade is the place to try!

wonderful specials, impeccable presentation, friendly service and peaceful ambiance. waves crashing 10 feet from your table, under the stilt-supported floor. this is french cuisine at its best - creative and healthy meals served slowly and with care. great wine selection - we had the henri bourgeois white sancerre and it was creamy, buttery and delicious. TRY THE SPECIALS. we had an outstanding tuna tartare with mango, coconut, lime and dill. the deserts were fabulous. definitely give this place a try.

My wife and I dained here with our 2 daughters. The restaurant is on the water. The combination of great food and the sound of the sea just cant be beat!
The food was very good. The presentation unique. The wine list was great.
The waiter was attentive. Only the coffee and dessert took a long while to get to the table.
Prices compare to a moderately expensive French restaurant in the US. 300$ for dinner dessert and a bottle of wine for 2 adults and 2 kids.
The bright red decor actually goes well with the concept of eating fine French food in your dockers and sandles!
